Resident Evil 4 Remake: How To Get Wrench Tool

It can be easy to be led astray while finding the Wrench Tool for the Overwrite Terminal in Resident Evil 4 Remake. The in-game hints that you get are not as clear, so I have included all the steps you need to take to secure this tool.

Wrench Tool Location

The Wrench Tool is located in the Incubation Lab, which you will encounter in Chapter 13 of the game. Here are all the steps you need to take in order to find it:

• Right before entering the Incubation Lab, you will find yourself in a corridor.
• There is some Rifle Ammo in the hallway that you will need in order to deal with the Regeneradors that you will face in this section. 
• Step into the Incubation Lab and make your way to the other side across the room. Be sure to grab the Hand Grenade as you walk to the other side.

The Biosensor Scope is a really important item in the game. It is necessary for finding the wrench tool in the game, as well as dealing with the Regeneradors. Without this attachment, you cannot tell where the Plaga Parasites are located inside their bodies.

• On this side of the Incubation Lab, you will come across a Biosensor Scope.
• This is a special attachment that you will need in order to see the parasites inside the Regeneradors.
• Killing these Plaga parasites is the only way to efficiently deal with these enemies, and the Biosensor Scope will help you locate them inside their bodies.
• The Biosensor Scope can be attached to a number of weapons. You can attach it to the Rifle, The Stingray, or the LE5.
• Pick your weapon of choice and attach the Biosensor scope to it.
• Right next to the Biosensor Scope, you will find a file that tells you some important information regarding the location of the Wrench Tool.

We need the Wrench Tool for overwriting the terminal in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

• The document tells you that during a recent power outage, a test subject awoke from cryogenic stasis and broke out of its holding tank.
• The test subject caused a lot of death and destruction. The lab workers were not able to recover one of the bodies and a tool from inside it.
• That tool is the Wrench Tool that you are looking for. 

Equip the gun onto which you just attached that Biosensor Scope attachment. Look through all of the tubes in the Incubation Lab, and you will be able to find one body that has a Wrench Tool inside of it. The Biosensor Scope shows you the X-Ray view of anything you view with it, so you can easily spot the wrench tool.

• Shoot the tube with the Regenerador inside of it, and be ready to fight it.
• Aim for the parasites inside its body to make quick work of it.
• The parasites will be highlighted in yellow if you look at them through the Biosensor Scope. 
• Once you have defeated the Regenerador, you will be able to get your hands on the Wrench Tool.

And that is all you need to do in order to get the Wrench Tool in Resident Evil 4 Remake. You can now use it on the terminal that has been blocking your progress. You will get the Level 3 keycard after using it on the Overwrite Terminal.

My Tips For Getting The Wrench

Throughout my 30-hour RE4 Remake experience, the Regenerators are the only enemy type I still struggle with. And to get the Wrench, I had to deal with several of them in the rather claustrophobic Overwrite Terminal. However, after experiencing the title several times, I found some ways to easily clear the area.

Of course, my first tip would be to use a rifle in this room, preferably the Stingray, since they’re much more effective in destroying the Regenerators’ weak spot. Next, always stay mobile, and direct enemies away from the Regenerator to tackle it separately. Movement is key, and I’ve noticed that Regenerators become a lot less lethal when they’re on their own. Finally, and obviously, deal with each Regenerator one at a time, because they usually drop gemstones that you don’t want to miss.

Verdict

I have included all the steps that you need to take in order to find the Wrench Tool. Once you get the Level 3 Keycard, you will have to face a group of enemies before you can go ahead. Once you are past the door, you can go ahead and rescue Ashley.
