Starfield: 6 BEST Ways To Level Up & Farm XP

There is no level cap in Starfield so XP farm and level up console command are two of the best ways players can use to level up fast.

Level Cap in Starfield does not feel limited in any way, and thus, players can increase their levels as much as they want. While it is a great move from Bethesda, it also raises questions. In Starfield, the tactics to level up fast enough is one of the main concerns. However, these are a few different ways you can use to level up fast.

There are several ways you can level up in Starfield, like an XP Farm or the in-game Field Level Up Command, which are the main ways that players can use to level up.

The following are all the alternate ways you can use to level up:

  1. Sleep: Sleeping in Starfied can help in leveling up.
  2. Marriage: Getting married to a companion in Starfield can increase your level.
  3. Complete Quests: Completing the quests is another way to increase your level.
  4. Exploration: You can also explore various new areas to level up fast.
  5. Drinking Alien Tea: Drinking Alien Tea grants you an XP boost for 15 minutes.
  6. Level Up Console Command: You can also use cheats via console commands in Starfield to increase your level.

Sleeping In Starfield

Sleeping is one of the best leveling-up methods in Starfield. When you are sleeping in Starfield, you will get the well-rested bonus. After resting, the bonus will give you 10% more XP for a little duration, so you can use that time to farm some XP. So, make sure to rest before trying to level up your character.

Marrying Your Companion

While it seems like a simple task, it is not, as you will have to invest some hours in Starfield in order to marry a companion, but you can’t just marry a companion at the start. As you progress through the story, you will develop relations with your companion. When you have a good relationship with your companion, you might be able to marry them through the companion’s commitment quest.

Upon marrying a companion, the well-rested bonus will be increased by 5%. Whenever you take a rest in Starfield after getting married, you will get a 15% well-rested bonus. It will help you even more in leveling up quickly.

Complete Your Quests In Starfield

Completing the side quests or main storyline is arguably one of the best ways to quickly level up. However, it is the most time-consuming method as you don’t know how much it will take you to complete one main or side quest. Still, completing a single main quest will give you plenty of level-ups, so it’s worth doing.

That being said, the quests in Starfield are not limited. While the main story is limited, you can generate as many radiant quests as you want. So, I think it is the best and most fun way to increase your level quickly.

Exploring Various New Areas

You can easily get bored with doing the same thing to level up. If that’s the case, you can always start exploring new places. By doing so, you will encounter different things, and you will be getting some hefty XPs. Starfield is huge, with over 1000 different planets, so you can explore for hours while finding new things, which, in turn, will help you increase plenty of your levels easily.

The great thing is that you don’t really have to explore the planet completely. Even if you land on the planet, you will get some XP. Then, depending on the planet, you can further explore to find new things, as you will also get more XP.

Drinking Alien Tea

While Starfield XP farm can be time-consuming, there are ways to boost it. The first step is to rest, and the other one is to drink Alien Tea. You can craft Alien Tea by using Distilled Water and Fiber. It will give you an XP boost of 1% for 15 minutes. While the boost isn’t much, it is better than nothing, so make sure to drink the Alien Tea before farming XP.

Use Level Up Command

You can also use Starfield Field Level Up Command for quick leveling up. I don’t enjoy using cheats in-game, but it is definitely the fastest way to level up. All you have to do is bring up the console in-game by pressing the key “`” if you have a UK keyboard and “~” if you have a US keyboard.

When the console is up, all you have to do is type player.setlevel(value). The value depends on what level you want, so put the number inside, and the level of your character will be increased.

Best Starfield XP Farm

Some of the aforementioned ways can be used to help in farming XP in Starfield. The best XP farm method in Starfield is to head to the planets that have the Abundant Fauna Stat. Make sure to apply all the XP you can get by Sleeping and drinking the Alien Tea. When you have applied the boost, all you have to do is to hunt down some creatures on these planets.

  • These planets will have strong enemies, so I would recommend you tone down the difficulty in Starfield.
  • Change the difficult to very easy and kill as many enemies as you can.
  • Changing the difficulty normally does not decrease the amount of XP you will get from defeating them, but it will only decrease the damage they deal.

However, some players have been reporting that lower difficulty is giving them more EXP. This is why you should play on lower difficulty if you want to farm XP in Starfield. That being said, it is the fastest way to get XP as mentioned in this Reddit thread also if you are not considering the console commands.

That’s almost everything you would want to know about Starfield Level Up Fast. You can increase your level in various ways. There are three ways that give you an XP bonus, so make sure to apply that before farming the XP to level up. Completing the missions is also a great way to increase levels, as you will also enjoy the story while leveling up. You can use cheats to level up your character as much as you want instantly.
