A DualSense-Like Controller Might Be In the Works at Xbox

Can Microsoft pull this off?

Quite possibly, one of the best things about the next generation of consoles is PlayStation 5’s DualSense. The controller seems to be larger than life when it comes to its popularity and success among gamers and enthusiasts. On the other hand, Xbox users have been denied a similar innovation as of yet, but it seems that the company is well aware of what we gamers want.

According to FOREM4N, Microsoft has contacted him with an email that contained a survey inside. The inquiry is, “I am aware of features on PlayStation controllers that I wish were on the controller that came with this console.” To this, the choosable options range from “Strongly disagree” to “NA – I am not aware of features on the PlayStation controller.”

That’s not all there is in the email, according to the Redditor. Microsoft is striving for feedback regarding this matter and has designated a select number of people to participate in this survey.

While the thought of all this seems promising, and something off of the recipe of DualSense will amaze Xbox fans, the pricing here is a point to ponder.

Perhaps, the company intends to introduce haptic feedback and triggers to the remarkable Xbox Elite Wireless Control Series, but that would mean having to pay more than $150 to get a taste of the DualSense on Xbox. The notion may come across as a turn-off for many since this price point is significantly higher than its PlayStation counterpart.

However, if Microsoft were to implement any novelty alongside the $60/$70 mark, we would be left astounded. That said, here’s hoping for a future filled with budget-friendly and stupefying console products.
