Handsome Squidward Mod In Baldur’s Gate 3 Is The Stuff Of Nightmares

Baldur’s Gate 3’s fans have released a bunch of impressive mods, from ones that let you know when important in-game events become available, to some that get rid of the pesky party limit. However, some folks, like TheMightyWaffle156 and DaddyJaxx, have decided to utilize their modding expertise for entirely different pursuits. And yes, that means they’re turning the game’s characters into the Handsome Squidward meme.

These two authors have posted a collection of unique mods over on NexusMods with but one goal: transforming your party members into their most handsome, pristine versions possible. For some players, this might be the stuff of nightmares, but others might consider it a mandatory addition for their next playthrough. Either way, it’s going to dramatically change the way your companions look.

BG 3’s journey into the world of jaw-dropping looks started with TheMightyWaffle156 posting the Handsome Astarion mod. With over 500 unique downloads and 42 endorsements, it’s clearly an acquired taste. But of course, fans couldn’t just settle with one companion looking too good. That’d be unfair to the rest of the party. And so, folks started requesting the mod get expanded to the remaining cast. 

Soon enough, TheMightyWaffle156 uploaded the Handsome Lae’zhel mod, which brought the powers of Squidward over to everyone’s favorite Githyanki. Joining in on the fun, DaddyJaxx expanded the mod over to Gale and Shadowheart. They also released the Handsome Minthara mod, which is worth trying out, if you have it in you to do the downright horrifying tasks needed to recruit her into your party.

So far, Zevlor and Volo are the only non-party characters to have gotten the handsome treatment. But it’s likely many others will follow along soon enough. Fans are hoping Karlach and Wyll are among the next ones to become stunningly beautiful. And who knows, one day, all of Baldur’s Gate 3 might get to be just as handsome as Squidward.
