Baldur’s Gate 3 Developers Confirmed To Be Working On Photo Mode

Michael Douse, the director of publishing at Larian Studios, recently confirmed in a tweet that the photo mode for Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently on their list.
While this does not confirm whether it is in development or already done and waiting to be released in an upcoming patch, it is now one of the forthcoming features alongside others mentioned in the recent community update.
Larian Studios has released consistent and very frequent updates, and it seems like there is much more we can expect in the future.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on PC on August 3, 2023, with the PlayStation 5 version released a month later on September 6, 2023. The highly acclaimed cRPG is also confirmed to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Mac.

The photo mode is one of the most heavily-requested features in Baldur’s Gate 3 and has finally received an official update.

The confirmation was made under the replies to Douse’s tweet, where he discussed how Larian’s team of engineers had an impossible task of certain performance improvements, and they have successfully managed to accomplish that. Now that the developers have tackled a huge portion of bugs within the game, they are finally looking toward adding many community-requested features.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has enchanted many gamers, becoming one of the top contenders for the Game of the Year award. Even so, the game still lacks many things fans would otherwise appreciate, including the photo mode. Currently, players can hide the UI by pressing F10 and then adjusting the zoom using the mouse scroll wheel before taking a beautiful picture.

There is also a fan-made mod that comes with an array of features. Still, an official photo mode by Larian Studios has the potential to be much better with even more capabilities. Since the Forgotten Realms hold many secrets, it could grant them the opportunity to document their favorite moments by capturing them in pictures. Not to mention, there’s an entire virtual photography community that would love to tinker with this feature.
