Numerous ways to win interesting prizes have been laid out.

Story Highlights

  • Developer CD Projekt Red has come forth with an interesting announcement for fans.
  • The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 players can win an array of prizes by partaking in contests.
  • The entire promotional event will run until December 7, 2023, at 17:00 CET.

Taking to X (previously Twitter), Cyberpunk 2077 higher-ups have announced a competition for fans and players, making it possible to win different prizes pertaining to the Cyberpunk and The Witcher franchises. A fair bit of work will go into submitting an entry for each contest, though, given that there are four different tasks to get into, with each offering its own set of prizes.

The holiday magic is in full swing, and we’re thrilled to invite you to our festivities! Contest has four separate tasks, each with a unique theme and some fantastic prizes to win to make this holiday season even more memorable,” reads the blog post over at CDPR’s official forums. The worth of each prize category ranges between $40-$60 approximately.

Some of the general pointers relating to the contest that you should know of: The contest will run until December 7, 2023, so participants have until then to make their relevant entries. In addition, no more than a single entry will be entertained for the person participating, so make sure that you submit your very best the first time around.

Feel free to explore all the tasks that CD Projekt Red has laid out for you to complete on the forums and acquire a better insight into partaking in the event. To talk about one of them, though, the Holiday Gifts in the Contest is all about telling the devs how any two characters from The Witcher universe would exchange gifts with one another, with you emphasizing the “why” part as well.

Since we’re hard in on the festive season, and there’s Black Friday to factor into account as well, this contest isn’t the only thing from the side of CD Projekt Red that’s putting a smile on the faces of players. Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for 50% on Steam, and there appears to be a discount on Phantom Liberty — the game’s first-and-last DLC expansion starring Idris Elba — as well.

Speaking of which, CD Projekt Red has masterfully architected the redemption arc of Cyberpunk 2077, picking it up from the depths of post-launch hell and breathing life into it afresh. The roll-out of Update 2.0 and the subsequent patch Update 2.1 have greatly improved the stature of the action RPG in 2023, not to mention the arrival of Phantom Liberty which kicked things up a notch even more.

The game’s DLC Phantom Liberty, on the other hand, recently launched in September this year to rave reviews, with eXputer’s Usama Mehmood rating it 4.5/5 and praising its engaging storyline, captivating character performances, and terrific gameplay.
