Story Highlights

  • The gameplay footage is from an early build of Diablo 4 and shows a level 100 player battling against multiple enemies.
  • The footage also shows multiple boss fights.
  • An Early Access Beta will start on March 17, while the Open Beta will begin on March 24, allowing the fans to try the game themselves.

Gameplay footage of Diablo 4‘s Closed Beta has been leaked online. The footage is 36 minutes long and depicts a level 100 player battling against multiple enemies and even several bosses in an early build of the game.

A Reddit user, u/fainas1337, shared the gameplay footage via a link on Reddit, claiming that it was streamed on Twitch a few days ago. The 36-minute footage has sparked mixed responses from the fans. However, the gameplay footage belongs to an early build of Diablo 4 and may not indicate the quality of the end product.

Judging from the gameplay footage, the UI of Diablo 4 might be a little too big compared to previous games, but the overall gameplay does not look that different from Diablo 3. Additionally, the damage numbers are exponentially high, even if the footage shows a level 100 player.

Diablo 4 is set to release on June 6, 2023, about a decade after Diablo 3 was released in May 2022. However, fans can try the game early by taking part in Early Access Beta, which will last from March 17 to March 19. If you miss that, you can again participate in the Open Beta, which will release on March 24 and end on March 26.

You’ll have to preorder the game during the beta’s duration to participate in the Early Access Beta. The Open Beta does not have any such requirements. However, you’ll have to link your Battle.net account with your preferred gaming platform to be eligible to take part in the Beta. Note that the beta test is cross-platform, so you can play with others online even if they are playing on a different platform.

Diablo 4 is developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and will be available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
