Diablo 4 Patch 1.2.3 Goes Live; Adds New Endgame Dungeon & More

Glyph experience earned from most Nightmare Tiers has also been raised.

Blizzard’s new update for Diablo 4 is live and brings a brand new endgame pinnacle dungeon—Abattoir of Zir. Additionally, glyph experience earned from most Nightmare Tiers has been increased. According to the patch notes, the first 17 tiers remain the same. Tiers 30, 50, 75, and 100 have received a raise of 13, 33, 83, and 133 respectively.

Moreover, further support for NVIDIA Reflex has been introduced. Players can visit the in-game settings menu of Diablo 4 to enable the feature. Beyond these changes and a new dungeon, version 1.2.3 of the game also implements a plethora of bug fixes to ensure a better overall experience.

Accessibility issues in Diablo 4 where the Screen Reader didn’t announce the required pacts for Vampiric Powers and malfunctioned on the Steam Deck under certain circumstances have been resolved. For dungeons, a bug that prevented the Mechanical Box from respawning if the player was killed by the boss in Bastion of Faith has been resolved. 

Other problems such as the avoidance of debuff effects in the Fallen Temple, enemies from the Sole Survivor event spawning behind closed doors in Hallowed Ossuary, improper reset in Nightmare Dungeons once all revives were exhausted during local co-op, and Elemental Damage discrepancies in certain content have been fixed.

Moving on to gameplay, an issue where some attacks made by the Echo of Lilith would trigger improperly has been addressed. In addition, Rabies cast by Werewolf companions from the legendary aspect “Of the Alpha” will no longer miss its target. Furthermore, Treasure Goblins will no longer become invincible and run away if the player mounted or unmounted near them.

Lastly, UI and user experience problems have also been taken care of. Map overlays for Helltide and Blood Harvest will now display properly when entering a region covered by the fog of war. Additionally, an issue where the tooltip displayed while hovering over certain items could blink periodically has been resolved.

Diablo 4 was released on PlayStation 5Xbox Series XXbox Series S, and PC on June 5, 2023.
