FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Patch 6.2 Gives Players Own Island
The wait is finally over, as FINAL FANTASY XIV finally released its new expansion, Buried Memory, featuring new main and side quests, next raid dungeon, an Island Sanctuary, and much more.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online has received its latest expansion update, Buried Memory, after a long server maintenance period. Players can now update their game and play the latest update. The newly released expansion features many updates, from new main quests to creating your own Island Sanctuary.
The new expansion kicks things off with the newly added main quests, which are kept secret for the most part. The first quest is called “In Search of Azdaja,” and players must be at Disciple of War or Magic level 90. To start the new main quest, players should talk to “Radz-at-Han,” and his location on the map is given as X:4.4 Y:9.8.
Along with the main quests, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online expansion also adds six expansion quests for the Chronicles of a New Era storyline. To begin these quests, players must complete the Chronicles of a New Era quest, “Who Wards the Warders?” It also requires Disciple of War or Magic level 90.
The developers also added a new trial in the game. However, the patch notes do not reveal anything about that and leave it for the players to find out. The only one it revealed is Containment Bay S1T7 (Unreal). It is only accessible after completing the new main quests and requires Disciple of War or Magic level 90.
The patch notes also talk about adding a brand new raid dungeon, Pandæmonium: Abyssos. The interesting addition to this new trail dungeon is the rewarding system. Normally, it would reward players with weapons straight away, but now it gives players tokens that they can trade for their choice of weapon.
The last major update in this expansion is the Island Sanctuary. This update alone could be the reason for the server maintenance delay. This new feature lets players create an entire island with complete freedom, even smaller things such as caring for animals.
Those are all the major updates in Patch 6.2 that introduced the Buried Memory expansion for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. The expansion is looking great for players, and it offers many new promising updates that will blow a new life for the game.
