GTA 6 Could Launch Early 2025 Instead Of Fall, Suggests Job Listing

Prior to the current rumors, a fall 2025 has been suspected by the community.

Story Highlights

  • GTA 6 could launch in the next 12 months, as suggested by a job listing published by Rockstar Games.
  • Previous rumors have suggested a Fall 2025 release, but it could be arriving earlier than we suspected.
  • We suggest taking the rumors with a grain of salt. It will first launch on consoles before arriving on PC later.

GTA 6 could come earlier than rumors have indicated. As teased by a new job listing by Rockstar Games, a release in early 2025 —in the next 12 months— appears imminent. The listing is seeking a Russian localization tester with a yearly contract. The hiree would stay only for a year. The fans on Reddit speculate that the studio would not have them leave in March 2025 and then launch the title later in the Fall since it would need more testing.

Rockstar Lincoln is on the lookout for talented Localisation Testers who possess a passion for Linguistics and Game Localisation. This is a 12 months fixed-term contract position based onsite at Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Lincoln, UK,” reads the job listing.

The responsibility section reads that the employee would “perform localisation QA to ensure the final product quality is as high as possible,” which further cements the brewing rumor. The hiree would also be responsible for supporting the other devs with elements like translating the dialogues, GTA 6 UI elements, and font utilization.

The community has argued that it would not make sense for Rockstar Games to let go of the hired Russian localization tester before the title releases since the last few weeks would be quite crucial for the studio.

All in all, we suggest taking the rumors with a grain of salt until Rockstar Games officially announces a release date. The highly anticipated AAA title will only launch on consoles initially, with a PC release coming later down the road. It has caused many PC gamers to be upset.
