Helldivers 2 Patch v01.000.006 Is Big On Bug Fixes

Helldivers 2 is the latest in line for the well-grounded Helldivers franchise, and quite the farcry from its predecessor which utilized a top-down shooting perspective. The game, which has been selling like hot cakes as of late, has just received a new patch, titled v01.000.006, boasting improved general game stability, enhancements for matchmaking, and an array of bug fixes that should better the Helldivers 2 experience.

Outside of refining backend connectivity so disconnections could happen less frequently when playing through missions, and increasing the likelihood of success in terms of matchmaking, Arrowhead has rolled out an array of other polishes for Helldivers 2. Here’s a rundown of most of them, so you don’t miss out on anything substantial: 

• Fixed crash when application was closed shortly after start
• Game no longer crashes during extraction cutscene
• User profile with too many friends no longer causes crash
• Fixed crash when using text-to-speech during extraction cutscene
• Game no longer crashes when users disconnect during the joining cutscene
• Operation Status in Mission Summary no longer causes crash
• Fixed crashes caused by leftover visual effects from disconnected players
• Game no longer crashes when using ADS

Although Helldivers 2 has been blowing though estimates (made by the publisher) and already selling about a million copies, certain issues have marred the game’s launch from reaching its peak potential. The major problem stems from the title being able to host the immense number of players that are trying to get in and find a match. That’s why Arrowhead keeps on increasing the overall server capacity. Talk about suffering from success.
