Palworld’s New Patch Continues Efforts To Better The Gameplay

If the infinite loading still persists for you, keep trying to reconnect, the developer advises.

Story Highlights

  • Palworld is a third-person shooter by Japanese developer Pocketpair that was released in recent times.
  • The title has received a new patch across all the platforms it’s on, welcoming new bug fixes.
  • The developer is continually trying to address server outages and infinite loading issues at present.

It’s safe to say that what started off as a mere meme in the eyes of consumers across the world has turned things around for itself in the form of a global sensation, shooting up Steam charts, and going on to sell millions of copies at a remarkably fast-paced rate. That’s Palworld’s life right now, with developer Pocketpair continually trying to improve the third-person shooter with new updates and patches.

If you head over to the game’s official Discord server, which you should join by the way if you’re keen on staying up-to-speed with all relevant Palworld announcements, you’ll find patch notes for a new update that has just been rolled out for the title. At first, the dev pushed out the Steam version of the hotfix before Xbox’s, but a new message on the server affirms that the patch is now out for the latter too. Here are notes for the fresh update:

  • Fixed a bug where the loading screen did not end when logging into the world
  • Fixed a bug where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset.
  • Corrected various incorrect text
  • Countermeasures against various cheats and exploits

That said, another issue seems to be running amok, where players have log-in access barred due to the roll-out of the latest patch. In case this is happening to you as well, make sure to keep re-attempting the connection process, and the loading should click on your end in a bit. It’s a hassle, I know, but the devs aren’t at fault too here, really. They certainly didn’t expect 2 million people to boot up Palworld at the same time, did they?

Following the recent patch, numerous logins are concurrently underway, leading to congested access. We are sorry for the inconvenience but please wait a moment before trying to connect to the servers. Single-player, co-op and private servers should be relatively unaffected by this. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” says a Pocketpair developer.

On a side note, Palworld has sold a whopping 8 million copies over the course of the 6 days of its release. And that’s not all, the Pokemon-inspired shooter has become the second-highest concurrently played game on Steam, trailing only behind PUBG’s 3 million+ mark, and leaving the rest of the competition in the dust.

Palworld launched on January 19, 2024, for the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Tracing its initial announcement back to 2021, the game is in early access at the moment, with Pocketpair planning to keep it that way for at least 1 year. eXputer reviewed the title and rated it 4.5/5.0, with reviewer Rabiya Rizwan calling it “one of the most unique games in the survival genre, which is often generic and repeating the same elements.”

New players shouldn’t skip out on learning the best teams for early and mid game in Palworld for highly effective combinations, along with how to heal the fracture of your Pals.
