Remnant 2 – The Awakened King: Devs Announce New Giveaway

Remnant 2 has turned out to be one of 2023’s biggest sleeper hits, offering fantastic, tight gunplay, a fairly compelling story to dig into, great weapon variety, and polished overall gameplay. In an attempt to attract an ever wider player base and reward the currently existing one, the developers have announced a new giveaway for Remnant 2: The Awakened King players that will run until December 2, 2024. 

The details of the matter have been laid out on Remnant 2’s official Discord server, so you will need to join it to be in the know of the contents and all future ones as well for that matter. In simple terms, the rules of the promotion have been laid out like this: There’s going to be a single winner of the giveaway’s Grand Prize of the Swag Kit, but 20 additional people will get exclusive Remnant 2 t-shirts and caps. Win-win. 

So, what’s the deal? All you have to do is head over to Gleam.io and upload your video defeating the One True King—the final boss of Remnant 2’s latest DLC The Awakened King. A tip here is to start recording before entering the fight arena, so as to leave no room for doubt. Any difficulty is allowed, and you can even have another player join you in taking down the major antagonist, though, if selected, the prize will only go to you. 

The handle on Gleam shows that there are three ways to mark your entry. One is to submit the aforementioned video, another is to link your Discord account, and the final method, though elementary, is to specify your shirt size. That should get you a total of three entries, and improve your chances of winning the bout, but don’t hold your breath since the winner picking is totally randomized. 

To talk about the Grand Prize, you’ve got the Swag Kit to factor into account here, which is a specialized bundle of Remnant 2 goodies, comprising the Gunslinger Hat, a Pan Empress Metal Print, exclusive backpack, Summoning Stone statue, and other pertinent items, such as Gunslinger Patches, a Dragon Heart charm, and Handler Dog bandana. It bears noticing that a giveaway for the same Swag Kit was held in the past as well.

Remnant 2 came out on July 25, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with its DLC The Awakened King launching earlier this month on November 14, 2023. eXputer’s review of the latter had Usama Mehmood rating the expansion 3/5, highlighting the medieval horror setting and more replayability value but criticizing the inadequate new loot and lackluster boss variety.
