Skull And Bones Is Now Playable On GeForce Now

Right alongside the rest of the major platforms it's on.

Story Highlights

  • Skull and Bones, the new pirate game by Ubisoft, has now finally been released after years of delays.
  • The game has been made available to play on a new platform as well in recent times, GeForce Now.
  • Nvidia GeForce Now is one of the world’s most notable cloud gaming platforms at the moment.

Development on Skull and Bones first kicked off in 2013, a whopping 14 years from now. The game, suffering several delays from the date of its initial announcement, finally made landfall in recent times on multiple platforms, and now, it appears the list just grew even bigger with the addition of Nvidia GeForce Now, one of the world’s most noteworthy cloud gaming platforms.

GeForce Now comprises multiple membership tiers, but at the base level, you can play some games on the cloud with several restrictions in between, such as limited playtime, scant server access, and barebones graphics. In case you’d like to go higher up the ranks on this front, consider upgrading to Ultimate, which is thoroughly decked out.

On a side note, in case you missed all the drama that has ensued in the context of Skull and Bones, the title has been delayed half a dozen times now, with the development of the tactical action-adventure being in rough waters over the years. It’s only now that Skull and Bones has officially seen the light of day, coming off as an inspiration project of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

Additionally, Skull and Bones has gotten off to a poor start, though, with heaps of negative reviews piling up on aggregate review platform Metacritic. Ironically, the title has been flagged as a “AAAA” game, priced at $69.99 — which is a full premium — and has Ubisoft defending its live service stance, but to no proper avail, evidently

The title came out on February 16, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you’re a new player, here are the 5 best ships in the game that you shouldn’t sleep on, followed by this guide on these 7 high-quality ship armors for better defensive stats.
