Considering the fact that the leaker has made a lot of accurate claims around ATLUS games, especially Persona, the rumor might be true. It is well known that there have been a lot of Sonic leaks recently, with the storyboards of the Knuckles Show and Sonic Movie 3 being leaked, as well as a new Sonic game rumored to be released in 2024.
However, most of these Sonic games are tailored around the same style. This is why a Fall Guys-inspired Sonic mobile game might be an interesting approach by the devs worth looking forward to. Fall Guys has been immensely popular ever since it was released in 2020, so it makes sense why Sega might make the new spin-off a Battle Royale.
Mediatonic and Sega have worked together in a collaboration as well, introducing Sonic The Hedgehog-inspired costumes for Fall Guys. Furthermore, a mini-game was also introduced in one of the events in Fall Guys that was heavily inspired by Sonic The Hedgehog game.
The rumor has yet to be confirmed by Sega, but it is not a secret that there are several Sonic titles under development for both console and mobile. Since the release is rumored to be in 2024, we can expect an official announcement by Sega soon. On a side note, eXputer reviewed the recent mobile game Sonic Dream Team and rated it 4.5/5, with Asad Ahmed remarking it as “a new adventure, breathing new life into the iconic blue blur’s legacy.”
