Patch 7.5 for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is out now. We’re looking at a minor update here that squashes some bugs, particularly ones involving creature and vehicle animations, and introduces a quality improvement for reflections when you have ray tracing toggled off. The EA Star Wars X (formerly Twitter) handle made the announcement today and published the patch notes in a blog post subsequently.

We appreciate the continued support you’ve given Star Wars Jedi: Survivor while we’ve been hard at work improving your experience. As always, let us know if you run into any additional issues,” reads the announcement. It’s worth noting that the last time Jedi: Survivor got patched, which was in September, the devs really pulled out the big guns for the added features department.

Some of the most notable enhancements that arrived in the previous release included a “completely reworked” performance mode on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, along with Variable Refresh Rate support for the PS5. That, along with a myriad of bug fixes in an attempt to make the Star Wars Jedi experience better for players across the board.

In other news, if you’ve already beat Jedi: Survivor and can’t wait for Cal Kestis’ next step, we’ve got great news. The voice actor for the game’s protagonist — Cameron Monaghan — confirmed it himself that a third Star Wars Jedi game is in development. This was during the Ocala Comic Con 2023 held about two weeks ago, when Cameron addressed the audience and spread the word right there and then.

We’re working on the third, and we’re in the process of doing it right now, so you know [laughs] that’s a big undertaking and it’s been some conversation so far, but yeah. Hopefully, when all things are said and done, we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys again.”

Although likely that this is part of the Star Wars Jedi trilogy, rumor has it that another unannounced Star Wars game is in the works. The LinkedIn profile of Saber Interactive’s senior producer highlighted a AAA project based on the Star Wars franchise to be in development two weeks ago, but the mention has since been removed, letting speculation about the affair run rampant.

At the moment, though, what’s confirmed is that Star Wars Outlaws is being worked on by Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Montreal. The game was announced in June this year and appears to be a third-person, action-adventure title, just like the Star Wars Jedi IP. Given how Ubisoft is behind the wheel for this one, Outlaws’ open-world could be the developer’s chance at redemption, considering how it misfired with certain Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry games as of late.

Jedi: Survivor was released on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on April 28, 2023. If you’re a new player, consider checking out our guide on Jedi: Survivor’s best perks and best skills to head in the right direction.
