Tekken 7 Has Sold More Than 10 Million Units, Says Harada

Tekken 7 seems to have achieved a terrific milestone, selling 10 million copies in total lifetime sales. The news comes from Katsuhiro Harada — world-renowned director of the Tekken series — who seemingly took to Twitter to make the grand announcement.

In his tweet, he gives the game’s fans great news about the milestone Tekken 7 has surpassed. Since Tekken 7 has reached the ten million mark, it means that the game now has a record of fifty-four million copies sold. At the end of his tweet, as per usual, Katsuhiro Harada thanked his fans.

Just recently, in June of this year, Tekken 7 had sold nine million copies and in the seven months leading up to December, an additional million copies were sold globally.

Fans unanimously seem to agree that Tekken 7 deserved this win. One fan said, “Great game, well deserved.” Moreover, some fans already have their eyes set on the next part of the game.

One interesting part of the announcements that Katsuhiro Harada makes is the art that comes along with the tweet. Fans always seem to enjoy the art piece.

Tekken 7 is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the seventh main and ninth overall installment in the Tekken series. Tekken 7 was released in arcades in March 2015. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and arcade games.
