Arcade Only Bomberman Game Coming to PC

Bombergirl Konaste open beta available now

Bombergirl Konaste, an anime-inspired Bomberman game, is seemingly coming soon to PC. The official twitter account for the game recently tweeted out that the open beta for the game is currently available for sign up.

The tweet, which has been translated from Japanese, shows the account announcing the game coming to Open Beta.

Bombergirl Konaste(also known as Bombergirl) has been a Japan-only arcade game for the past few years so its surprising that Konami finally decided to bring it to PC. This is also not the first time Konami has attempted to please the anime crowd by making an anime spin off of their game. They had also attempted that with the Gradius series. Bombergirl Konaste is going to be using a charge per play model that requires the player to play for each turn, a lot like an actual arcade machine. The game seems to be a Japan exclusive for now with no information whether a Western localization is in the works or not.

Bomberman is one of the most iconic game franchises ever, with the very first game in the series coming out back in 1983, the series has experienced countless spin-offs and sequels, including various anime and manga adaptations. The most recent game in the Bomberman series that is available in the West is Super Bomberman R which came out for the PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox One. Since then, the Bomberman series has largely been in hiatus.
