Following the same trend for the past five years, Activision thought to make things different. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is now available on Steam for pre-purchase. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise has been, undoubtedly, a long-time fan favourite amongst the other endeavours of Activision.
Task 141 has been quite popular amongst gamers, and when it comes to making sequels, they are back at it. Initially, we had our speculations when an image of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II from Steam leaked out. Later, Steam hinted at Call of Duty players by retweeting the worldwide reveal date for the game.
That was enough for the players to go on. If this was intentionally planned by Activision, they scored an instant success, as players were sold on the hype. With the world reveal trailer retweeted by Steam, we are thrilled to see the Call of Duty franchise officially making a comeback on Steam.

The last Call of Duty game sold on Steam was Call of Duty: World War II back in 2017. After that, Activision parted ways with Steam and partnered with Battle.net for the release of all its future games. However, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has changed that now.
It promises the best from Task 141 while integrating real combat situations in the game making the experience as authentic as possible. To be fair, that’s where the Call of Duty franchise thrives, making the game as real as it gets.
Activision also focused on Ghost, or Simon Riley, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s artwork and teasers. It will be amazing to experience how Ghost’s story expands in this game. The game is ready to release on October 28, with the pre-purchases live on Steam now. As for the news that comes in, we will be making sure to keep you updated.
