Stellar Blade Has Become A UK Best-Seller, But That’s No Surprise

The game has found early success across the globe.

Story Highlights

  • Stellar Blade just came out and is already making rounds across the globe for various reasons.
  • The game has also become a top-seller in the UK this week, outclassing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
  • It’s only the debut entry of Stellar Blade in the UK sales charts where it’s just outshined the competition.

Stellar Blade is taking no prisoners at the moment, featuring a protagonist that has seemingly grasped the attention of most players out there in ways more than one, while offering fun combat, a great setting, and outstanding world design. Apparently, all that has led the game to make a striking entry in the UK’s sales charts, as it debuted at the top spot on the rankings lately, ahead of Mario Kart 8.

For reference, Stellar Blade was released on the PlayStation 5 less than a week ago, and rumor has it, though from a not-so-credible source, that the action-adventure RPG has already rolled over a million copies within a day of its launch. While that could very well be true, considering the anticipation surrounding the game, we still have to wait for official confirmation from the side of either Shift Up or Sony.

But not all of it was “good” news, per se, as Stellar Blade started to arrive in the spotlight. Some folks, including the editor of a well-reputed publication, didn’t take Eve’s design to be realistic, calling out the director of the game in a rather inappropriate way. The common discourse would label this as having double standards, given how the body of Eve is based on a real-life Korean model (NSFW warning).
