Hollow Knight: Silksong Could Get Xbox Game Pass Day-One Release

The action-adventure game is rumored to release on the service immediately.

Waiting for video games to release is probably the worst aspect of the industry. Games face a lot of delays and that has been a common theme, especially after the pandemic. One game that a lot of people have been looking forward to is Hollow Knight: Silksong from Team Cherry.

Sequel to the original Hollow Knight game, the first trailer for the game came out in 2019. A 16-minute playable demo was also available at the E3 event in 2019 and the game has several new areas. However, updates since 2019 have been few and far between.

Players have been craving something from Hollow Knight: Silksong as it’s been so long. Team Cherry has said that the game is still in the works even though there has been a lack of news. As of recent, we finally have a new rumor which gives us some new information about the game.

Hollow Knight: Silksong might be coming to the Xbox Game Pass on day one, according to an accredited industry insider, The Snitch, who tweeted a picture of the game’s main character, Hornet, with an interesting caption. A green-colored emoji alongside “Day One” tells us that the Metroidvania game is coming to the famous Xbox Game Pass on the day of its release.

Something like this is big news for the players, as the original game was a huge success. Hollow Knight sold almost 3 million copies by 2020 and was very popular among players. Therefore, the sequel releasing on day one on the Xbox Game Pass makes it available for everyone to play and that is amazing.

All of this is just speculation right now and we know nothing for sure. Hollow Knight: Silksong doesn’t even have a release date right now and Xbox isn’t even on the official platform list. So, this is just a rumor right now and nothing else, even with The Snitch’s great track record.

The Snitch leaked the release date for The Last of Us Part I (remake) just recently and it was totally on point. Even though the leaker deals with Sony news, they do have credibility. Hollow Knight: Silksong is not coming out on PlayStation consoles as of yet, so this is a new area for them.
