VALORANT’s next ACT is expected to arrive on 9th September 2021 and we’ve already received some new leaks as to what players can expect in the upcoming ACT. One of the things that Riot Games is adding into VALORANT with the upcoming ACT is a brand new map. It has been almost 4 months since we received a map in the game and players are anxious to see what the company has come up with this time. Fortunately, a leaked mini-map from Fracture tell us exactly this!
From the recent leaks, we already knew that the new map is called “Fracture” and will be an extension of the previous map, Breeze. Earlier today, a professional VALORANT player also leaked the mini-map from the upcoming map in a now-deleted post. Instantly, the screenshot was shared by u/montsbutnotreally in the r/VALORANT sub-Reddit.
The Reddit post has now been removed by moderators but not before it accumulated over a thousand upvotes from the community. Based on the leaked mini-map, the Defenders will spawn in the middle of the map, while the Attackers will be spawned on two corners of the map. It seems like the map is focused more on defence, so Controllers and Sentinels will prove to be useful for players.
Many players have also pointed out that the map remembers Mirage from CS:GO, and it seems like it. There seem to be a lot of entry-points for Attackers on Fracture, so there’s certainly going to be a high demand for coordination and strategy. Furthermore, the map is also really big and there aren’t many places for rotation, so Attackers will certainly have a hard time.
Both of the recently released VALORANT maps, Breeze and Icebox, have faced a lot of criticism from players for their poor designs. Hopefully, Fracture isn’t the same! Along with the new map, we might also be getting a new Agent in the game. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much information as to what the new Agent would be like.
