Baldurs Gate 3 Acts
The way Baldurs Gate 3 is divided into three acts may remind some RPG fans of Cyberpunk 2077. There is an opening act, the middle act, and then the climax or finale act. In case you were enjoying Baldur’s Gate 3 too much and are disappointed that it only has three acts, then worry not. Each act is filled to the brim with content and a ton of characters to romance, both humanoids and a bear. Players are sure to get their money’s worth whether they focus on the side content or not.
Each BG3 Act And Its Length
Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite vast, it will take the average player up to 80 hours to finish, but if you are a completionist, it can take as much as 150 hours to be done with Baldur’s Gate 3 thoroughly. Here, I will give a general overview of what the player is supposed to do in each act and how long it will take to end it.Act 1
Players can think of Act 1 as an extended tutorial as it primarily focuses on introducing new characters, forming a party, and setting up the story while you are dealing with the Illithoid Tadpole in your head. This act will most likely take 20-30 hours to complete. I recommend doing as many side quests and exploration as possible during this act.Act 2
Act 2 is when you’ll reach the actual meat of Baldur’s Gate 3. As players uncover the actual threat, they will be required to find the three Netherstones. In this act, players will be taken to brand new locations, meet potential companions, and generally just progress through the primary and important bits of the story. This act is also the longest act of Baldur’s Gate 3, as it will take the players around 40-50 hours to finish it.
Act 3
Act 3 is when it is time to say your goodbyes as you will reach the end of the story. In this act, you will only be required to beat the main antagonist of Baldur’s Gate 3. This is very easily the shortest act and shouldn’t take you more than a few hours to complete, provided that you solely stick to the main missions.
