As reported by the German gaming news site, Games Wirtschaft, the funding document from the German government mentioned Blue Byte, the devs behind the last series’ entry, alongside points that talk about the renowned mechanics of the franchise.

Rumors suggest the unnamed title could be the next Anno project in the works due to the wording that has been used to describe the mysterious placeholder game. Games Wirtschaft was the first to notice the peculiar detail and tweeted an image of the notable funding listing from the German government to Blue Byte.
