Lords of the Fallen: How To Heal The Petrified Girl [Questline]

There are many NPCs scattered around Mournstead that need helping, and one of them is Petrified Girl, Kukajin, in Lords of the Fallen. Helping out these fellows can be worth it as they can later help with your progression by selling your various items or helping you against a tough boss, and in Kukajin’s case, it’s the latter.

Who Is Petrified Girl 

Her name is Kukajin, and after you help her out of the swamp, she offers you her gratitude as well as her aid against the treacherous monsters that dwell in Mournstead.

Location of Petrified Girl

1. Petrified Girl is located in Forsaken Fen.
2. Warp to Vestige of Valade.

   

3. Follow the path past the NPC and cross the wooden bridge.
4. Run through the swamp until you see an overpass wooden trunk. 
5. Once there, you’ll see a pyre surrounded by multiple enemies.

6. Take them out to create a safe passage to Petrified Girl.
7. Once they are out, approach the cave covered with wooden branches located to the left of the pyre.
8. Hit the branches with your sword.
9. Now equip a healing item or spell and use it on the Petrified Girl.

10. In my case, it was an Empyrean Grenade.
11. Alternatively, you can use a radiance spell as well.
12. Once you use the item/spell, Kukajin will break free and offer you her gratitude.
13. To pick up the item behind her, warp back to Vestige of Valade, and come back to her location again. 
14. Now you can pick up Wilmarc’s Catalyst, as Kukajin would’ve moved to a different location.

Empyrean Grenade Location

1. Warp to Vestige of Chabui.
2. Climb the ladders opposite to the Vestige.
3. Run across the narrow wooden ledge.

4. Break all the wooden barrels to your left near the ladder.
5. Use your lamp to open a pathway to the item.
   •

6. Pickup the Empyrean Grenade and go back to the Petrified Girl and heal her.

My Experience With The Petrified Girl Questline

My main qualm with the questline was the amount of enemies I had to deal with in Forsaken Fen. The enemies near the pyre can be difficult to take out, and it is much easier to run past them. But at the same time, I would’ve missed out on a couple of crucial items, such as Wilmarc’s Catalyst and Pendant of Induration, which made the hardships worth it.
