Cyberpunk 2077 has been the talk of the town for days now, especially after developer CD Projekt Red pulled its venture out of the depths of post-launch hell and breathed new life into it, pumping out the Phantom Liberty expansion followed by Update 2.0 and all. Now, it’s keen on making more improvements to the RPG, especially those that players have been asking for some time now.

As per the aforementioned post on X (previously Twitter), the developers are looking forward to releasing a new update for the title next week, which will “tackle the most common issues reported by players, including finisher animations.” It’s been said that additional information about the update will follow after the weekend, so stay gripped until CDPR has more to share.
On a side note, the Phantom Liberty expansion has done remarkably well for the Poland-based CDPR, reigniting the studio’s spirits after the base game launched to a terrible start. Just over three weeks ago, the developer confirmed that the DLC has sold over 5 million copies to date, with Cyberpunk 2077 itself rolling over a total of 25 million units over the course of its release.
Of course, back when Cyberpunk 2077 was released first, though, most gaming outlets were quick to point out the sheer mess it was in. Those include eXputer, which rated it 3/5 in its review back in the day, highlighting its completely broken AI, a ridiculous amount of bugs and glitches, lifeless in-game world, and lack of optimization. Slowly but surely, most of the complaints people had about the title are long gone.Related Content to Check Out:

CDPR’s first-person shooter initially came out on December 10, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with its next-gen patch rolling in February 2022, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game’s DLC expansion Phantom Liberty is more of a recent release, launching on September 26, 2023, earning a 4.5/5.0 in our review as the developer “finally delivered the grand RPG it promised all those years ago.”
