As already mentioned above, Apex Legend Mobile’s Ranking system is quite unusual. It is not only different from other Battle Royale games available on mobile but is also different from its PC and console version counterparts. So before we get started on how you can Rank up fast in Apex Legends Mobile, let us shed some light on its ranking system.
Unlocking Ranked Matches
Ranked Matches in Apex Legends Mobile aren’t available from the get-go but are unlocked at a later level. To open Ranked Matches, you need to be at level 8. You’ll first have to play a couple of Battle Royale matches for leveling up, or you can go for the classic Team Death Matches to level up your character.
After you have reached Level 8 you’ll finally get access to the Ranked Matches.
Rank Rules And Requirements
Just like its PC and console version counterparts, Apex Legends Mobile has a total of 6 ranks. Each of these ranks is further divided into 3-6 sub ranks. The higher you go, the number of sub-ranks will increase. Depending on your rank, you’ll be matched with players of the same or similar rank.
So before you start your grind to rank up, it is important to know about the Ranks and the requirements to unlock them. You’ll start from Iron rank and will have to work your way up to Apex Predator. Below is a table that’ll give you a basic idea of how much RP you’ll need to raise your rank.
Rank | RP Required |
Bronze | Starting rank |
Silver | 1,200 RP |
Gold | 2,800 RP |
Platinum | 4,800 RP |
Diamond | 7,200 RP |
Master | 10,000 RP |

Rank points can be claimed through assists, kills, and match placement. If the total number of your assists and kills reaches 6, no more Ranked Points will be awarded to the player. Furthermore, the number of Ranked Points you’ll be awarded will depend on the Rank Gap between you and the players you killed. The higher the rank of the opponent killed, the better.
You may be questioning right now, what’s the point of playing after taking down six players. Well, to answer that, Ranked Points are also awarded based on your placement at the end of the match.

Good Teammates
Having good teammates is not only a tip we’ll recommend for Apex Legends Mobile, but this is a universal go-to tip for any multiplayer game available on the market. Playing ranked matches solo is never a good option because, more often than not, you’ll end up with teammates who have 0 teamwork and are just busy doing their own thing.
These types of squads are the first ones to get wiped out, so we’ll recommend that you hop into the ranked matches when your entire friend squad is online. Having a squad of friends can massively raise your chances of success because communication is a crucial aspect that decides your overall team performance and, in turn, your rank points.
Another Tip we’ll want to give here in order to rank faster in Apex Legends Mobile is that if you end up with good teammates, teammates that you see reviving you up, staying close to you, providing cover fire, and retrieving beacons. Always send them a friend request through recent players in the menu in the friend list tab.
Engaging and Disengaging
Our number 2 tip here is knowing when to attack and when to fall back. The key to understanding this is understanding the situation you are in. If a squad jumps on you when you are ill-equipped, or someone starts snipping from higher areas, instead of engaging with that squad, you should retreat and find cover.
It goes both ways; if you have the higher ground or get great equipment right off the bat, you should utilize your advantage against other squads. Furthermore, if you see a squad on turf already, don’t engage with them. Instead, you should go after the already damaged squad who just retreated from their battle or the squad who came out on top. Either way, both squads will be in a very weakened state, making them easy prey to hunt.
