Granblue Fantasy Relink: Best Vaseraga Build [My Pick]

With 19 unique characters in Granblue Fantasy Relink, it might be hard to choose a single character. However, the most ideal choice is to select the best DPS, and there are plenty of options available. One of your options is Vaseraga, which can be used as a tank and a DPS. However, that would require the best Vaseraga build in Granblue Fantasy Relink. 

Best Vaseraga Build 

My build will mostly focus on increasing the damage of Vaseraga and maintaining his health. He has some abilities that sacrifice health but deal some great damage, so it is hard to use this character while maintaining his health. With that said, with a few tweaks, you can make Vaseraga a different character and dominate the battlefield with him. 

The following is an overview of the best main character build according to me:

Best Skills

Vaseraga features some of the best offensive skills along with great defensive skills, and they are the following:

• Damnation: A skill that can turn the tables in combat as it grants Jammed to Vaseraga. Upon activating the skill, Vaseraga will lose 30% HP, but he will gain a boost in attacks, depending on how low his HP is.
• Netherwrath: With this ability, you can utilize Vaseraga as a tank and a DPS. Upon activating Netherwrath, Vaseraga will take damage in place of all allies and then counters based on the overall damage he endured. This can take the focus from other characters but also deals massive damage. 
• Immortal Pain: This skill will grant Vaseraga immunity against every debuff type, but it is a double-edged sword. The immunity will grant him Undying, boosting Vaseraga’s attacks but leaving him with only 1 HP when the effects end.  
• Great Scythe Grynoth: Vaseraga can also cover long-range fights as this skill has a pretty long range and deals great amounts of damage. I recommend using it in close range, as you can chain it into a combo by holding Y/Trinagle after the hit. 
• Battalions of Fear: Another great offensive skill that can be used from a long-range and chained in combos like Great Scythe Grynoth. 

Choosing four skills from the ones I mentioned is necessary to make the best Vaseraga build in Granblue Fantasy Relink.  

Gear

Choosing the right weapon and the best sigils is important for the best build. 

The following is my recommended gear for Vaseraga: 

• Best Weapons For Vaseraga: I recommend choosing a weapon from Great Scythe Grynoth, Wurtzite Scythe, and Soul Eater. As per my experience, these are the best-suited weapons for Vaseraga and can help you dominate the combat.
• Sigils For The Best Build: I personally use the Attack Power, Health, and Aegis Sigil for Vaseraga as he requires some more HP and Attack. These sigils ensure that Vaseraga has plenty of health and attack to survive longer on the battlefield. You can also choose among these ones: Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage, Life on the Line, Quick Charge, and Lucky Charge.

Mastery

If you aim to build a build DPS Vaseraga, focus more on the offensive skill tree. However, if you are going for a tank build, then you should focus on the defensive skill tree. I recommend focusing on both, which will help you more in the long run. Also, you need the four skills among the 5 I have mentioned above.

Aside from that, when you reach level 100, you must give him more bonuses over mastery. These bonuses will tremendously increase Vaseraga’s damage if you are lucky. You can check out the bonuses I received in the image above.  

Playstyle Information

Just making the best build for Vaseraga isn’t enough in Granblue Fantasy Relink, as you would need to understand the play style, too. Luckily, Vaseraga’s play style isn’t that complicated and can be learned with some practice.  

• Hitting Heavy On The Frontlines: Vaseraga excels in hitting heavy, and his combos deal pretty good damage. Most of his combos are related to charge attacks, but they won’t take a lot of time and, upon perfect execution, will deal tremendous amounts of damage. 
• Combos After Using Skills: Vaseraga features some skills that can be chained in combos. You can use those skills and then hold Y/Triangle in order to deal more damage. This would surely increase the overall DPS.

Vaseraga Best Build – My Tips

Personally, I believe Vaseraga should be played as a DPS or as a Tank, but a mix between both can also be quite good.

Vaserga isn’t difficult to play with, but his execution can take some time. So, to use them perfectly, you must time them according to the boss’s attacks. The poise of characters in Granblue Fantasy Relink is pretty low, so you need the perfect timing for a perfect combo execution.
