Grounded: All Building Parts [Explained]

In Grounded, you can make bases at different locations. For that, you’ll need to know about the different items that you can have in the game. So, In our guide, we’ll go through all of the building parts in Grounded and how to make them.

Building Parts 

Grounded has several parts that you can use to build your base in the game. These parts each have to be crafted using different materials found in the game. A few of these parts are available from the start of the game. You’ll only have to analyze their main material.

Understanding each part is also important as it helps you develop a sense of how your base would look and how you could repair tools or other broken objects. You will already plan your base as you check these items. Anyways, here are all the items that you’ll need to make a base. 

Door

It is the entrance and exit to your base. The door is a hole in your base that you can open or close whenever required. The more doors you have on your base, the more access points you’ll have to it. If you’re running away from an insect, it will surely come in handy. You’ll find the following variations in the Doors.

• Normal Door: It is the normal door that you open and closes in your day-to-day life.
• Curved Door: The Curved Door gives a new look to doors in the game. A curved door makes any base look good.

Roof

The covering of your base is the roof. The roof shows the limit to the base. Meaning you won’t go above it. It gives a sense of completion to a base. In earlier stages, while you haven’t acquired the multi-Story Bases these are your only choice for a ‘roof’. Later on, you can change it with the Floors.

A roof is often made of light materials because if it is made of heavy materials, it would… fall. Anyways, here are the types of roofs you’ll find in the game.

• Normal Roof: A Normal Roof is a diagonal roof that you can use to make an upper floor or an attic to your base.
• Flat Roof: It will be quite useful if you’re just finishing the building.
• Flat Triangle Roof: Flat Triangle Roof allows you to have unique rooms in your base.
• Peaked Roof: Peaked Roof gives the look of an attic to the top floor.
• Peaked Dome Roof: A Peaked Dome Roof is great if you’re going for that watchtower design.
• Corner Roof: It is used to fit in the corner of a diagonal roof.
• Squared Roof Corner: It is the right-angled corner of a roof that works perfectly to cover that space left on your roof.
• Interior Roof Corner: The interior roof corner fills the gap in the roof from the insides.

Wall

A wall won’t only act as the support for your base’s roof, it can be the defense between you and the insect following you. If you’re planning on making larger or taller structures, it’s better to skip the basic wall in the later stages of the game. Here are the variations in Walls in the game.

• Normal Wall: The Normal Wall is what you’d have as a normal section of the wall. It is a square wall piece that can act as a support to your base’s roof.
• Windowed Wall: Windowed wall is almost the same as a normal wall. The only difference is that it has a hole
• Triangle Wall: If you have any unnecessary gaps in your walls? Then consider using the Triangle Wall segment.
• Curved Wall: The Curved Wall segment helps give your base a nice look.
• Half Wall: The Half Wall gives you enough space to get a perfect look outside.

Scaffold

If you’ve watched construction projects, then you should know the importance of Scaffolds. They make it easier for workers to climb up and down large structures. Not only that, but you can also use a Scaffold to make your structure strong while you’re trying to finalize its design. Apart from that, use it inside your house to give structural integrity.

• Normal Scaffold: Scaffolds are useful for increasing a base’s structural strength.
• Bracket Scaffold: The Bracket Scaffold gives support to a structure, preferably if you’re expanding the upper floor.
• Triangle Scaffold: Triangle Scaffold is used to support triangle floors.

Floors

In any Base you build, you’ll need floors. The Floors are the literal base of any structure. Although you can make a structure starting from the ground, players would prefer using a floor as it gives that cozy look to your base. Not only that, but you can also have different material floors to match without your color scheme.

You can use floors to make a multi-story base by using them as ceilings. It becomes clear as you’ll need the multi-story base upgrade from BURG.L to unlock floors.

• Normal Floor: It is a full square section of the Floor. You’ll be using it most of the time to build your base.
• Half Floor: Half Floor comes in handy when you’re trying to make stairs underneath it.
• Triangle Floor: Great for when you’re trying out new shapes for your base.
• Curved Floor: A Curved Floor goes in perfect with curved walls.
• Curved Half Floor: Sometimes, you’d want a bit of breathing space in your base. That’s when the Curved Half Floor comes in.

Stairs

Stairs are great for when you’re planning to go up a floor using proper methods. If you’re looking to make a high base or sky base, you’ll definitely need stairs to access them at one point or another.

• Normal Stairs: These stairs are the ones you’ll find yourself using most of the time.
• Spiral Stairs: If you like to utilize all the available options, or have great designs in your mind, the game is Spiral Stairs.

Others

These are the items whose main purpose is to give strength to your structures. Not only that, but you can also use the foundations or ramps to make your base more accessible or make its base flat.

• Pillar: Pillar is great for when there isn’t any sort of support to your base’s center. You can place a pillar there to increase its strength.
• Foundation: If you found the perfect spot, but it is uneven, you can use the foundation to make it flat.
• Ramp: Made your base too high from the ground? Or to get to the high position easily, you need some structure. Then the Ramp is perfect for your needs.
• Path: A path outside your main door will make your base look great.

Upgrades For All Building Parts

Although you’ll have a few of the building parts available at the beginning of the game by just analyzing some ingredients. But later on, as you progress, you’ll need some better parts to make bigger and better Bases in the game. For that, you’ll need the upgrades that you can get from BURG.L in the game.

Multi-Story Bases

Multi-Story Bases upgrade is a default Shop Item. It costs 1,000 Raw Science, and it unlocks all the upgrades that will help you make a multi-story base. So, if ‘the sky is the limit for you, then get it as soon as you can.

Fortified Bases

The importance of having the best armor and best weapons in the game is similar to making a stronger base. Fortified Bases upgrade is just for that. It makes the whole base strong with the strong building parts it unlocks. The upgrade is a default Shop item, and it costs 2,500 Raw Science.

Curved Bases

Looking to give your base a fancy look? Then the Curved Bases upgrade is the one you should go for. It becomes available after you get the Pond BURG.L Chip. You’ll need 2,500 Raw Science to buy it. You can have curved walls, curved gates, and even curved roofs to your base.

Feather Roofs

Crow Feathers is useful in building bases too. It isn’t a strong material, so it is only used in making the roof of a building. For this, you can get the Feather Roofs to upgrade from BURG.L. It is available after you find the Haze BURG.L Chip and pay 2,500 Raw Science.

Buoyant Foundation

Another one of Pond BURG.L Chip upgrades that you can use for bases is the Buoyant Foundation upgrade. It is a great upgrade and one that you should be getting if you plan on making your Base on a water surface.

Pebblet Foundation

Using Pebblet for your base seems an interesting idea. The game has the exact same thing for you. For it, the game lets you get another upgrade from BURG.L, which is the Pebblet Foundation. It costs 2,500 Raw Science but gives that astonishing look to your base.

All Building Parts Recipe And Stats

The game has tons of building parts that you can make. All these parts have different stats and required materials. Not only that, but you’ll also need to get certain upgrades, or analyze certain ingredients to unlock them. For all that, we’ve explained all the ingredients that you’d need. We’ve divided these building parts based on their main ingredient in Grounded.

Grass Building Parts

The most basic building parts that you can make in the game are made out of the grass. You’ll have to chop down the tall standing grass and use it to make the Base Building materials. Here are all of the Grass building parts that you can make in the game.

Grass Floor

It is unlocked when you get the multi-Story Bases upgrade available at BURG.L’s shop. You’ll need 4x Grass Plank to make it. It has 2 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Half Floor

Unlocked when you purchase the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. You’ll need 2x Grass Plank to make it. It has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Triangle Floor

The Triangle Floor is available to craft when you get the multi-Story Bases upgrade. You’ll need 2x Grass Plank for it. The stats are 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Grass Curved Floor

It is available after buying the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L’s shop. Curved Floor needs 4x Grass Planks to make it. It has 2 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight, the same as the Grass Floor.

Grass Curved Half Floor

You’ll need the Curved Bases upgrade available at BURG.L’s shop to craft it. It needs 2x Grass Planks. It has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Wall

The Grass Wall becomes available after you analyze Grass Plank. It requires a total of 4x Grass Planks. It has 2 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Half Wall A

Analyze Grass Planks to unlock Grass Half Wall A. You’ll need 2x Grass Planks to make it. Its stats are 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Grass Half Wall B

The Grass Half Wall B is unlocked when you analyze Grass Planks. It takes 2x Grass Planks to craft it. It has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Windowed Grass Wall

The Windowed Grass Wall becomes available when you analyze Weed Stem. It requires 3x Grass Planks and 1x Weed Stem to make it. The Windowed Grass Wall has 2 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Wall

You’ll need to analyze Grass Planks to make the Triangle Wall. It takes 2x Grass Planks to make it. It has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Sturdy Wall

To unlock the Sturdy Wall, you’ll need to have the Fortified Bases upgrade available at BURG.L. To make it, you’ll require 4x Grass Planks and 1x Weed Stem. it has 4 Defense, 2.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Windowed Sturdy Wall

The Fortified Bases upgrade unlocks the Windowed Sturdy Wall. You’ll need 3x Grass Plank and 2x Weed Stem to make it. It has 4 Defense, 2.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Curved Wall

The Grass Curved Wall becomes available after you have purchased the Curved Bases upgrade. It takes 4x Grass Planks to make. And it has 2 Defenses, 1 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Sturdy Curved Wall

As for Sturdy Curved Wall, it becomes available to craft after you have the Curved Bases upgrade. It takes 4x Grass Planks and 1x Weed Stem to make. The Wall has 4 Defense, 2.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Windowed Sturdy Curved Wall

The Windowed Sturdy Curved Wall becomes available right after you get the Curved Bases upgrade. It requires 3x Grass Plank and 2x Weed Stem. The Wall has 4 Defense, 2.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Curved Half Wall A

The Curved half wall A becomes available with the Curved Bases upgrade. It costs 2x Grass Planks to make and it has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Grass Curved Half Wall B

As for the Curved Half Wall B, it also becomes available after the Curved Bases Upgrade. You’ll need 2x Grass Planks for it. It has 1 Defense, 1 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Grass Door

The Glass Door becomes available right after you analyze the Grass Plank. It takes 1x Weed Stem, 3x Grass Plank, 1x Sprig, and 2x Crude Ropes to make it. Once crafted, it has 1 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Grass Curved Door

The Grass Curved Door is craft-able after you get the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It takes 1x Weed Stem, 3x Grass Plank, 1x Sprig, and 2x Crude Ropes to make it. The Grass Curved Door has 1 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and Weights 2 Points.

Grass Stairs

The Grass Stairs become available with the multi-Story Bases upgrade of BURG.L. It takes you 4x Grass Planks and 1x Weed Stem to make it. It has 1 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Building Parts

Weed Stem might seem weak, but in the game, it is one of the strongest materials. Building parts out of Stem in the early game will give your base good defense and sturdiness in Grounded.

Stem Floor

The Stem Floor is available after buying the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope to make it. Once made, it has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Stem Floor

The Triangle Stem Floor is available after buying the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Weed Stem and 1x Crude Rope to make. Once completed, it has 2.5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Stem Curved Floor

The Stem Curved Floor becomes available after buying the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope to make it. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Curved Half Floor

The Stem Curved Half Floor is available when you get the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. To make it, you’d need 2x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope. It has 2.5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Half Floor

As for Stem Half Floor, it unlocks after buying the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. You’d need 2x Weed Stem to make it. It has 2.5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Wall

The strong Stem Wall becomes available right after you analyze the Weed Stem. To make it, you’d need 3x Weed Stem. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Half Wall

The Stem Half Wall is available after you get the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It takes 2x Weed Stem to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight when made.

Windowed Stem Wall

The Windowed Stem Wall is available by analyzing Weed Stems. it requires 2x Weed Stem to make. You’ll get 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Stem Wall

The Triangle Stem Wall becomes available by analyzing Weed Stems. Then, it can be made by using 3x Weed Stem. The Triangle Stem Wall has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Palisade

The Palisade becomes available with the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. To make it, you’d require 8x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope. It has 7 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Curved Wall

The Steam Curved Wall is unlocked by getting the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 3x Weed Stem to make. And it has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Windowed Stem Curved Wall

The Windowed Stem Curved Wall is unlocked with the Curved Bases upgrade. It costs 2x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Palisade Curved Wall

The Palisade Curved Wall becomes available with the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It requires 8x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope to make. It has 7 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Curved Half Wall

The Stem Curved Half Wall becomes available with the Curved Bases upgrade. It requires 2x Stem Weed to make. And It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Door Frame

The Door Frame will be available by analyzing the Weed Stem. It costs 1x Weed Stem and 2x Crude Rope to make. It has 0.5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Sturdy Door

The Sturdy Door unlocks when you analyze Weed Stem. It costs 3x Weed Stem, 4x Crude Rope, and 2x Sprig. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Sturdy Curved Door

The Sturdy Curved Door becomes available when you get the Curved Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs you 3x Weed Stem, 4x Crude Rope, and 2x Sprig to make. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Palisade Gate

The Palisade Gate comes with the Fortified Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Weed Stem and 4x Crude Rope to make it. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Palisade Curved Gate

The Palisade Curved Gate becomes available by purchasing the Curved Bases upgrade. It costs 4x Weed Stem and 4x Crude Rope to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Scaffold

The Stem Scaffold is unlocked by analyzing the Weed Stem. It costs 2x Weed Stem to make. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 4.5 Weight.

Bracket Scaffold

The Bracket Scaffold also becomes available with the Weed Stem analysis. It costs 2x Weed Stem to make, and it has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Scaffold

The Triangle Scaffold is unlocked when you analyze the Weed Stem. You’ll need 1x Weed Stem to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Bracket Scaffold

The Triangle Bracket Scaffold is unlocked by analyzing the Weed Stem. It costs 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Stem Pillar

The Stem Pillar becomes available with the Fortified Bases upgrade bought from BURG.L. It costs 4x Weed Stem to make. The Stem Pillar has 1 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Clover Building Parts

The light Clover Leaves in Grounded help build the roof parts of your base. The green roof fits perfectly with the green ‘jungle’ of the game.

Clover Roof

The Clover Roof is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2 Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Clover Roof Corner

The Clover Roof Corner is unlocked with the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Clover Flat Roof

The Clover Flat Roof is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Clover Flat Triangle Roof

The Clover Flat Triangle Roof is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4 Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Clover Peaked Roof

The Clover Peaked Roof is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Clover Peaked Dome Roof

The Clover Peaked Dome Roof is unlocked with the multi-Story Bases upgrade bought from BURG.L. It costs 2x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Clover Roof Squared Corner

The Clover Roof Squared Corner is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Clover Roof Interior Corner

The Clover Roof Interior Corner is unlocked by buying the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 4x Clover Leaf, 1x Weed Stem, and 2x Sap to make it. It has 2 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Mushroom Building Parts

Mushroom might seem weak, but it has a great defense for your base. The Building Parts from Mushroom Bricks give great look to your base in Grounded.

Mushroom Wall

The Mushroom Wall is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Windowed Mushroom Wall

The Windowed Mushroom Wall is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Mushroom Curved Wall

The Mushroom Curved Wall is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Windowed Mushroom Curved Wall

The Windowed Mushroom Curved Wall is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Triangle Mushroom Wall

The Triangle Mushroom Wall is unlocked by Analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 2x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 3.5 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Mushroom Half Wall A

The Mushroom Half Wall A is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 2x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 3.5 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Mushroom Half Wall B

Mushroom Curved Half Wall

The Mushroom Curved Half Wall is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 2x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 3.5 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Mushroom Arch

The Mushroom Arch is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 3x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 5 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 1 Weight.

Mushroom Curved Door

The Mushroom Curved Door is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick, 3x Acorn Shell, and 1x Acorn Top. it has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Mushroom Door

The Mushroom Door is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick, 3x Acorn Shell, and 1x Acorn Top to make. It has 9 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Mushroom Pillar

The Mushroom Pillar is unlocked by analyzing the Mushroom Brick. It costs 4x Mushroom Brick to make. It has 1 Defense, 6.5 Sturdiness, and 2 Weight.

Feather Building Parts

You’ll be collecting a lot of different materials. One of these is Crow Feather Pieces. Using these, you can build some great roof parts for your base in Grounded.

Feather Roof Corner

The Feather Roof Corner is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Feather Roof

The Feather Roof is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Feather Roof Squared Corner

The Feather Roof Squared Corner is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Feather Roof Interior Corner

The Feather Roof Interior Corner is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 1.5 Weight.

Feather Peaked Roof

The Feather Peaked Roof is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Feather Peaked Dome Roof

The Feather Peaked Dome Roof is unlocked by buying the Feather Roofs upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 2x Crow Feather Piece and 1x Weed Stem to make. It has 5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 3.5 Weight.

Feather Flat Roof

Feather Flat Triangle Roof

Acorn Spiral Stairs

You’ll unlock the Acorn Spiral Stairs by purchasing the multi-Story Bases upgrade from BURG.L. It costs 8x Acorn Shell, 1x Weed Stem, and 6x Crude Rope to make. It has 3.5 Defense, 4.5 Sturdiness, and 4.5 Weight.

Final Words

Grounded has some great mechanics to make different items in the game. You’ll have to unlock these items using Raw Science. Raw Science comes by analyzing items and ingredients. There are 9 different materials used to make these Building parts.
