Prince of Persia The Lost Crown: Pirate Captain Parrot Location

Learn about the Parrot Location in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown and bring it back to the pirate captain for the best rewards in the game.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown has tons of side quests that engage you not just for the sake of reward but also the meaningful content. While exploring the Sunken Harbor location, there is a Captain’s Lair area where you will find a stuck pirate captain who desperately wants his parrot. Regardless of that, he leaves no clue where to look for the parrot and just tells you to find it and bring it back for a hefty reward.

Key Takeaways
  • Treasure of the Seven Seas side quest tasks you to find the parrot in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown.
  • The parrot is found at the far end of the next room.
  • There are death traps so if you fall, you will restart the entire run to get the parrot.
  • Use Gravity Wings and Rush of Simurgh Time Powers for navigation on platforms.

    1. “X marked” Treasure chest locations.
    2. 1000 Time Crystals

  • You get this bird via Prosperity Bird Amulet if you have the game’s Deluxe edition.

Where Is Parrot

Finding Parrot [Image by eXputer]
The parrot is located at the far end of the room next to Captain’s Lair in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown.

You cannot easily run to the parrot and fetch it back to the pirate captain. You have to showcase your platforming but traversing tons of platforms to the parrot and then come back with it again using traversal moves.

Important: I tried using Shadow of Simurgh Time Power to get back to the starting position after collecting the parrot, but this trick does not work. You have to traverse back with the parrot manually.

Luckily the platforming hardly requires you to use Time Powers other than Shadow of Simurgh. Still, using Gravity Wings and Rush of Simurgh, both traversal Time Powers, makes this run easier. You can pretty much do the entire platforming in a single go, but there are a lot of spiked platforms and learning how to safely reach there will take some time.

Platforming Strategy

Follow these steps:

  1. As you approach the parrot, utilize the “Rush of Simurgh” Time Power not only to dash and collect the parrot but also to reach the platform after it.
  2. After grabbing the parrot and landing on the platform, immediately jump and trigger “Rush of Simurgh” again to reach another wall without falling.
  3. By timing this sequence correctly, you should avoid falling into spike traps and be on your way back to the Pirate Captain.
  4. Once you return to the starting point of the puzzle location with the Pirate Captain’s parrot, you will receive a notification that the “Treasure of the Seven Seas” side quest has been updated.
  5. Sargon will engage in a conversation with the Pirate Captain, revealing that the parrot is primarily used to locate treasures in various regions of Mount Qaf.
  6. With the parrot successfully returned to its master, the side quest is completed.

Rewards

Treasure Chest Locations Revealed [Image by eXputer]
There are multiple rewards you get by completing Treasure of the Seven Seas side quest by finding a parrot location in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. You get several treasure chest locations with “X Mark” on the map revealed when you complete the quest.

You may or may not have already acquired some or all of these treasure chests before, so look for the ones that are still available to get.

However, do not leave the room just yet. Talk to the pirate captain again, and he will drop the following rewards. These rewards are missable, so make sure you collect them before moving on further with the game’s story:

  • 1000 Time Crystals
  • 1x Xerses Coin
  • Parrot to spot treasures
Important: If you have already bought the deluxe edition of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, then you can equip Prosperity Bird Amulet from the game’s start. This is exactly the same parrot that you can have accompany Sargon after completing the side quest if you did not get the deluxe edition. The parrot chirps and indicates a nearby treasure whenever Sargon runs past a certain area with treasure.

Equipping the Prosperity Bird Amulet does not take any Amulet slots, so that is another reason why you should never leave a Wak-Wak Tree without equipping this amulet.
