Starfield Caelumite [Where To Find & Its Uses]

Learn all you need to about Starfield's heartiest ore called Caelumite, its location and various uses in the game.

Among the many rare resources in Starfield, one of the more sought-after ones is the Caelumite ore. However, when it comes to inorganic materials, Caelumite is one of the rarest and one of the most important ones. Nonetheless, its uses complement its rarity in terms of usability, primarily since it is used in quest tasks and Starfield armor parts.

Key Takeaways
  • Caelumite is a rare inorganic resource in Starfield, which is used to craft armor parts like the Gravitic Composites.
  • Caelumite is also a crucial resource for completing research tasks in some of Starfield’s quests.
  • Players can sell the resource to earn extra credits as well.
  • Caelumite deposits are most commonly found around artifacts.
  • The easiest way to obtain Caelumite is through the Into The Unkown quest line in Starfield.
  • It can also be bought at varying prices from vendors like Midtown Minerals or the Mining League.

What Is Caelumite In Starfield?

Caelumite (Ct) is a rare resource in Starfield used for crafting many armor parts or research tasks and can be purchased from Midtown Minerals or the Mining League.

Starfield’s Caelumite resource is classified as a “Unique” rarity resource, which means that it is one of the more valuable items. However, you’ll be spending significant time searching for Artifacts, and you may see a pattern emerge. You’ll start to notice that wherever there are Artifacts, there is Caelumite. An easy indication of Artifacts is through Anomalies on your scanner.

Some of the notable characteristics of Caelumite are listed as follows:

  1. Caelumite is an inorganic resource.
  2. Its price changes depending on which vendor you sell to.
  3. Caelumite’s item code is 000788D6, which you can use in the Starfield console command to give yourself limitless Caelumites.

Despite being a “rare” resource, Caelumite is not hard to obtain once you know the trick behind finding it. As I’ve mentioned, Caelumite is found wherever there are artifacts scattered around in the universe. The reason behind that lies in its lore, which states that it shares some unusual qualities consistent with the Artifacts in Starfield. The fastest way to obtain Caelumite is to bulk buy it from Midtown Minerals or Mining League.

Based on my gameplay experience, here are some additional locations where you can mine Caelumite:

  1. Abandoned Mine (Porrima IV-C.)
  2. Argos Extractors Mining Outpost (Vectera.)
  3. The Empty Nest.
  4. Scavenger Burrows.
  5. In the caves during the “Into the Unkown Mission.”
  6. Near Temple Eta when investigating the anomalies.

Best Way To Farm Caelumite

You can farm Caelumite by mining it using the Cutter, but there are easier and faster ways to harvest this valuable resource, in my opinion. You can use the Elemental Pull power to save time you would instead spend on scanning and searching for ore deposits.

It is important to note that you may not be able to use the following method until you have completed your first run of Starfield, mainly because powers come into play relatively late into the game.

The Caelumite ore is one of Starfield’s most important resources because of its usefulness. Additionally, Caelumite can be used to build a substantial fortune because it does not sell cheaply, depending on your chosen vendors. It is also a key component in some quests, namely the One Small Step questline.

Important: Saving up Caelumite for crafting is better than selling it.

With that, I conclude my Starfield’s Caelumite guide. While you’re here, consider checking out a similar guide like the Starfield Akila City walkthrough. If that isn’t to your liking, you can also check out the Starfield Almagest Casino location guide.
