Atomic Heart developer Mundfish has released the patch notes for updates 1.3.3.0 and 1.3.3.1. The first update rolled out on February 25 and came out on both PC and consoles. However, the second update rolled out on February 26 and was only for the Steam version of the game, not consoles.

Through these patch notes, we can learn about the changes these updates brought to Atomic Heart on PC and consoles. In the tweet announcing this, Mundfish does say that it has been working hard on fixes and listening to feedback. And the patch notes reflect that the updates have brought a lot of changes to the FPS game.

Focus Entertainment‘s Atomic Heart has turned out to be a major success since its release last week. The FPS title has become the most popular title on Xbox in 2023, overtaking Hogwarts Legacy. But, the game has been shrouded in a bit of controversy that is hard to ignore.

Developer Mundfish’s ties with the Russia-Ukraine war have been a pillar of controversy, with some believing it’s harvesting data for Russia.

When you add the appearance of a racist cartoon, you can understand why people are arguing about Atomic Heart. However, the developer did promise changes, and the new patch notes tell us it has been delivered.

Patch 1.3.3.0, which came out on 25th February, fixes a few things in the quests. The developers have fixed an issue blocking quest progress for “A glass, Darkly.” In addition, a bug regarding the robot Claire will also not bother players anymore.

A cutscene containing this character was not starting, but Mundfish has rectified this. Now, you can find Claire’s parts without any bugs annoying you in Atomic Heart. Furthermore, the crashes that happened during the Ballerina boss fight are also a thing of the past.

Update 1.3.3.0 also fixed a lot of bugs relating to visuals and audio in Atomic Heart. Based on your setting, the sound language will be autodetected from now on. If you want to, you can still choose to modify the audio and the text language in the options.

Atomic Heart has faced a lot of criticism recently due to a racist cartoon appearing in the game. The devs did apologize for this and have now taken further action as per the patch notes. You will no longer see the inappropriate image from the old soviet cartoon in the FPS from now on.

Moreover, the devs have also fixed an issue with a “Rotorobot” in a frozen state. A few gameplay bugs also got an overhaul in this recent Atomic Heart update. Bugs messing up the infinite jumps will not bother players anymore.

Mundfish has also fixed the bug relating to missing map objects at the VDNH Exhibition Park. Some UI issues have also been set right in update 1.3.3.0. An issue causing the wrong brightness setting will not be a problem for players anymore.

However, the devs have reset the value of brightness to default in Atomic Heart. Numerous settings localization fixes are also a part of this update. Last but not least, the Framecap is 500 now and this change applies to PC only.

Patch 1.3.3.1 came out on February 26 and, according to the patch notes, applies to Steam only. It brought only one major change to Atomic Heart on the platform. Mundfish has now implemented a system to fix all of the environment stuck issues.

Furthermore, the developers also listed some updates that will become available with the upcoming patches. Atomic Heart will get achievement fixes bugging the players in the upcoming patches. In addition, FOV settings, UI settings, and subtitle size settings will become a part of the FPS game soon.

Mundfish thanked players for sharing their feedback at the end of the patch notes and said they are following it very closely. Do you like the new changes the update brought to the game? Tell us in the comments below.
