Story Highlights
- Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most-awaited JRPGs of the year, being Capcom’s flagship IP.
- The title has ranked high on Steam’s top-sellers chart already; it’s weeks out from release.
- The JRPG is trailing behind the likes of Helldivers 2, WWE 2K23, and Supermarket Simulator.
Capcom’s upcoming JRPG still has a ways to go before it actually comes out, but that hasn’t stopped it from hopping on Steam’s top-sellers chart all the same. Dragon’s Dogma 2, being a proponent of “2024 being the year of the JRPGs” is due to come out later in March, coming across the sequel to the first Dragon’s Dogma from 2012.
Up until now, Capcom has been slowly feeding us fans Vocation reveals, with plenty of them now out and about. My personal favorite from everything that I’ve seen so far is the Mystic Spearhand, and I know it’s going to be a no-brainer pick for a plethora of other players as well. Great for close-quarters combat? Effective at long range? Cool-as-hell-looking teleportation? Check, check, and check.
Elsewhere on the Steam’s top sellers chart, the game currently making waves — but note that it’s already out, unlike Dragon’s Dogma 2 — across the globe with its incredibly fun gameplay is Helldivers 2. So it’s absolutely deserving when it finds itself at the top of the list, being a live service title minus everything that puts this genre under heavy fire.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on March 22, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC—basically on the same day as the launch of samurai-centric Rise of the Ronin, an extremely anticipated PS5 exclusive. Currently, rumors run wild that a demo for Dragon’s Dogma 2 could be released some days before launch, as how it is with most Capcom titles.
