Story Highlights
- Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the JRPG that the world has its eyes set on at the moment, being a flagship Capcom title.
- The game has received a new Vocation Gameplay Spotlight, this time focusing on the Warfarer class.
- The Warfarer is someone who does everything everywhere all at once, and there’s no kidding about it.
I thought things were getting turned up a notch with the Mystic Spearhand Vocation already, which, if I’d take the liberty to repeat myself, came off as a “no-brainer pick” for my first playthrough, but it appears I may have to reconsider my initial decision. The latest Warfarer Vocation that Capcom has revealed is someone you can rely on, especially when it has the power to pull out a Greatsword while raining hell with “magickal” spells.
The trailer showcases the class in depth, focusing on its diversified abilities and skills. Those who find themselves not having enough time to experiment with different classes should find comfort with the Warfarer, but beware, all that versatility does not come without a flaw.
Warfarers have relatively low base stats, so you will need to improve your handling of the Vocation in order to get it on the same level as other classes with “specialized strengths.”
The Warfarer is a new vocation exclusive to the Arisen that can use every weapon, and learn different skills from each vocation. By using diverse weapons, the Warfarer can respond to any situation and create combos that cross vocational boundaries. The Warfarer’s lower base stats require them to utilize the situational strengths of different weapon types to be on par with other vocations with specialized strengths,” describes Capcom.
Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Vocations Are Becoming Abundant
From the Warrior and Sorcerer to the Mage and Archer, it’s clear how the sequel is following the footsteps of the first Dragon’s Dogma, and then some. Speaking of the prequel though, you can get it for less than $5 at the moment thanks to a publisher-wide sale on Steam. The timing is fantastic for those wanting to acquaint themselves with the IP before jumping to the next installment.
