F1 22 – Patch 1.06 Addresses “Barriers Coming Loose on Baku” Bug

F1 22 was released last month, on the 28th of June, 2022. Being the successor of 2021’s amazing F1 game, it has a lot going on. However, it’s one of those games that faced numerous bugs after its release. The developer, Codemasters, even made a post listing some of the common bugs and promised to address them soon. 

The recently released Patch 1.06 for F1 2022 addressed some of the most annoying issues. It makes slight improvements to the game as well. The patch notes also talk about fixes and updates, specifically to Two Player Career, audio, virtual reality (VR), wheels, and more. 

One of the major updates with F1 22 – Patch 1.06 is that the vehicle performance has now been brought up to be more realistic. That update will result in resetting all of the F1 Time Trials leaderboards, which might make some players upset and others optimistic. Codemasters has also reduced the wear and tear rate for ICE/MGU-H while using an automatic transmission.

The developer addressed some of the issues with GPUs as well. Sometimes, the game would choose the wrong GPU when launched, resulting in a game crash, but the developer has finally fixed it. Another huge fix is that game will now load correctly for players using an Intel iGPU.

With the release of F1 22 – Patch 1.06, Codemasters has finally addressed the notorious bug where Tech-Pro barriers come loose in Baku. Furthermore, the patch addresses another issue in Baku that would make players crash into Turn 15 under artificial intelligence (AI) control. All in all, some of the recurring bugs in Baku have now been fixed.

The recent patch notes also talk about the common bugs relating to artificial intelligence (AI) and address them accordingly. With the release of this patch, it seems that most of the common F1 22 bugs are addressed. However, still, some remain, like the artificial intelligence (AI) on the straights.
