Story Highlights
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may see the release of three free DLCs in the future, as leaked in the recent hack.
- The NG+ could be arriving in the near future; the NG+ trophy for the game also surfaced in the leak.
- Insomniac Games has recently fallen victim to one of the largest ransomware attacks in the gaming scene.
It seems like Insomniac Games is far from done with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 despite having a lot of other titles in the brewer. Many details about the game’s future have been exposed after the huge leak due to the recent ransomware attack, confirming that fans may get three new DLCs in the future without paying a single dime. The new DLC leak has made its way to forums like ResetEra, where it is spreading like wildfire.
The first DLC is named Bettle Infestation, followed by Extreme Carnage. These expansion packs will feature an open-world mission and a boss fight each. The third DLC, “Spider-Verse Anomaly,” includes a Sony Pictures crossover, with Spider-Verse NPCs, Villains, and Missions, alongside a Spider-Verse visual filler. It could be closely related to the spider bot activity in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that intrigued many of us.
Besides the newly rumored DLCs, Multiple other Spider-Man games are rumored to be in development, including Marvel’s Venom, Spider-Man 3, a multiplayer project, and possibly more. Insomniac Games is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine and multiple other X-Man games, as their details were also exposed. Additionally, the NG+ PlayStation trophy has also surfaced in one of the slides, as caught by Reddit.
However, it is worth noting that at least a part of the DLC leak could be outdated now because it possibly contradicts Insomniac’s leaked future timeline of games. As a result, the Extreme Carnage DLC mentioned above could have been moved into Marvel’s Venom as its storyline. We suggest taking these leaks with a massive grain of salt until Insomniac comes forward to confirm the DLCs.
