The recent string of news pertaining to its success comes from PlayStation Blog, where a ranking of the most downloaded games of October has been laid out, with Spider-Man 2 reigning supreme.

It’s time to see which PS5, PS4, PS VR2, PS VR, and free-to-play games topped the download charts this month. The newly released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swung to the top of October’s PS5 list. For PS VR2, Beat Saber rocked to the top of the list,” reads the blog post, following up with a chart of the titles that made the cut. It bears mentioning that the game made it to the top for multiple regions, including the US, Canada, and Europe, unlike the rest of the titles present on the list. Surprisingly, Alan Wake 2 is quite down there on the charts, especially in the US/Canada section, but that’s probably due to the game releasing on October 27, and allowing only 3-4 days of tracking.

Outside of the PSVR2 and PSVR rankings, the blog included a section for free-to-play games as well, allowing Roblox to fall into the spotlight, sprinting just ahead of My Hero Ultra Rumble — an anime-based battle-royale — Fortnite, and Disney Speedstorm. Titles, such as Apex Legends, Rocket League, and Call of Duty: Warzone also earned their spots on the list.

In other news, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been off to a tremendous start.
