Developer Visual Concepts has recently released a new patch for NBA 2K23 on all platforms. Titled update 6.0, this patch has been deployed on all next-gen and current-gen consoles in anticipation of the game’s season 6. This new season launches on Friday, April 7th, and will come with many changes as the NBA Playoffs are about to begin. However, the devs have released patch notes for only the next-gen edition of the basketball title.

Per the patch notes, this new update prepares NBA 2K23 for the upcoming season 6 launch this weekend. Among general changes, the “RM” stripe will now be a part of the San Antonio Spurs uniforms following this patch. Honoring former owner Red McCombs, who died in February, is the purpose of this new stripe. Similarly, the New York Knicks uniforms will contain the “19” stripe to honor Willis Reed, who left us last month.

A bug with the Sacramento Kings crowd causing the wrong team logo to display on the back of their shirts has been rectified. In addition, some players got general likeness updates to match their real-life counterparts. This includes Bol Bol, Anthony Davis, Aaron Gordon, and Precious Achiuwa, who now have new hair.

Furthermore, historic player Craig Ehlo has also got an updated sculpt via this NBA 2K23 patch. This NBA 2K23 update has also fixed the timing bug in the “It’s a Cole World” quest that prevented completion.
