An unlisted trailer for the upcoming JRPG has potentially confirmed that the game will launch on the Nintendo handheld.

Story Highlights

  • Another new leak has hinted that Persona 3 Reload will launch on the Nintendo Switch alongside other platforms
  • The description of an unlisted special trailer for the upcoming game has put the Nintendo handheld among the platforms it will be available on.
  • This leak comes right after an Asian retailer put up the Nintendo Switch physical version of the JRPG for sale.

A new trailer for Persona 3 Reload has uncovered that the game might release on the Nintendo Switch when it comes out in early 2024. The trailer, which has now been unlisted on the official Atlus YouTube page, catalogs the Switch among the platforms that will get the upcoming JRPG. After being left out previously, the remake launching on the console appears fairly plausible.

The unlisted “Special Trailer,” which is available for anyone with the link to view, doesn’t show the handheld as one of Persona 3 Reload’s platforms. Furthermore, the Switch has been removed from the description of the trailer since it leaked to the masses, and only the older platforms are now apparent. However, fans are convinced all of this is hinting towards a Nintendo Switch port.

First revealed earlier this month at the Xbox Games Showcase, Persona 3 Reload is the much-awaited remake of the original 2006 JRPG from Atlus. Even though fans have been aware of the existence of this remake for some time due to a myriad of leaks, Its official exhibition from Atlus revealed a lot of interesting info about the game, like its recreation in Unreal Engine.

The Japanese developer also disclosed Persona 3 Reload’s platforms, saying it would come out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC in 2024. As one would expect, fans noticed how Atlus had left out the Nintendo Switch from this list, which was surprising considering how many of the developer’s games were available on the handheld.

But now, it seems like the Persona 3 remake will eventually make its way to the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the unlisted trailer, retail listings of the JRPG have also suggested that Switch players will get to enjoy the upcoming title. On the site of Asian retailer Play Asia, the physical version of Persona 3 Reload was also available for the Nintendo handheld besides the announced platforms.

The listing was actually up for quite some time and players could preorder the game for their switch consoles. Since then, to no one’s surprise, Play Asia has taken down the Nintendo Switch version of Persona 3 Reload from their website. However, the company’s customer service went on to say that the appearance of the listing wasn’t an error at the retailer’s end.

When you consider this alongside the unlisted trailer, an announcement from Atlus revealing the Nintendo Switch port of Persona 3 Reload seems very imminent. Many are assuming that the handheld version of the game will become official at the rumored Direct which is supposed to take place in the coming week. Obviously, only time will tell if this comes out to be true or not.

But, if the Japanese developer does officially unveil that Persona 3 Reload is heading to the Nintendo Switch, it won’t be much of a surprise.
