Remnant 2 Devs Promise Incoming Fixes For Xbox Series S Version

Remnant 2 has been making waves across the globe for all that it brings to the table, being a massive upgrade over its predecessor. And if the initial gore and glory weren’t enough, Gunfire Games outed DLC expansion for the third-person shooter—The Awakened King. Unfortunately, those on the Xbox Series S have reported trouble playing the add-on, but fret not, the devs have announced that a fix is coming. 

Those who have faced issues with DLC on Xbox Series S: We are hard at work on a build that will resolve these issues and prevent the crashes.

Reports dating back to as late as 4 days ago have been making rounds on the r/remnantgame subreddit, with many confirming that performing random actions, such as opening the in-game inventory, crashes the entire thing. A manual fix that some Redditors seem to be standing by involves uninstalling the DLC, launching Remnant 2, exiting it, and then finally reinstalling The Awakened King again.

Thankfully, there’s an official acknowledgment of the scenario, so it’s only a matter of time before the issue is taken care of. The X handle of the developer confirms, “We are hard at work on a build that will resolve these issues and prevent the crashes. We expect this to be live before the end of the week,” so there’s that. 

On a side note, Remnant 2 seems to be doing splendidly for both the publisher Embracer Group and developer Gunfire Games. After its initial run of 1 million copies sold in just 4 days after release, the cumulative sales for the Soulslike shooter have exceeded 2 million, according to a newly posted Embracer interim report.  

Remnant 2 was released on July 25, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. eXputer, in its review, rated it 4/5, labeling it the best Sousllike of the year.
