Rockstar Games Shifts Red Dead Online Resources To Focus On GTA VI

"Over the past few years, we have been steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series..."

It’s about time that Rockstar addressed Red Dead Online, as the fans have been in utter confusion for the last few months. Red Dead Online is not getting any major updates from Rockstar for the past year, which had fans mad at the company. Rockstar has finally made it clear that Red Dead Online resources will focus on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto (GTA) title.

In their latest press release, Rockstar Games has made some huge announcements. The biggest announcement yet is that company will not give Red Dead Online any new major updates and instead focus on the upcoming GTA game. The news upset many fans as they claimed that Rockstar made a terrible decision, and Red Dead Online has far more potential than its counterpart, GTA.

Rockstar Games also said they would continue to support GTA Online through major updates in the future, especially after the game was so well-received on the next-gen consoles. Furthermore, Rockstar will roll out a huge update for GTA Online in a few weeks.

The update will feature an expansion on Criminal Careers of Executive, Biker, Gunrunner, and Nightclub Owner. The post further added that Rockstar would add a new set of Contract Mission. These missions will immerse the player into investigating a criminal conspiracy as a special IAA field operative.

On the other hand, Red Dead Online will only be getting small-time updates that it has been getting for the past year. But no major updates as Rockstar said, “Over the past few years, we have been steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series — understanding more than ever the need to exceed players.”

That was pretty much all Rockstar had to say about Red Dead Online, and it seems that the game is heading towards a steady decline. For now, Rockstar Games is all about the upcoming GTA game, so there is no hope that the game will get any more attention from them. At the same time, fans are extremely upset about the decision.
