Many factors play into the mesmerizing rating of the expansion, leading it to dominate over its rivals this year currently. Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed brings a bundle of polishing to the already-established features shown in the original, allowing it to have its own identity over the prequel. Moreover, it is an exceptional story-filled experience, which ties up the loose narrative strings that were left to be answered in the XC 3.

PEAK nothing else to say such a perfect way to make this saga going i can’t say how much this game made me cry,” says one user reviewing the DLC.

The new DLC also had many returning characters and locations to serve as a plate of nostalgia, and the cast was expanded upon in a gratifying way. Hence, the expansion also brings a bundle of refinements over the old features to make them feel anew.

[It has] improved many defects, and the map design has reached the best of the series, allowing me to enjoy a thirty hour journey, which is a perfect ending,” states another user review.

The future of the series is a little uncertain; with such an exhilarating conclusion, the new direction by Monolith Soft’s team for a potential sequel remains to be seen. Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed is an expansion to the original title that adds over an entire game’s worth of content while serving as a standalone DLC. In other words, it is like a new entry sold under the guise of a DLC, but it needs XC 3 to run the expansion.

Metacritic scores are often used as a trustworthy source for gamers before buying a game. However, it is often prone to falling for review bombing attacks, which affects the average score of many entries. For instance, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and Sonic Frontiers, and among the few AAA entries that fell victim to a group of angry players review bombing the games.
