As can be seen, Lies of P took home the most awards, winning Best Role Playing Game, Most Wanted Sony PlayStation, and Best Action Adventure Game. The game is slated to release in 2023 with an as of yet undecided exact release date. The game is a souls-like that offers a new and darker take on the Pinocchio fable.

The other game to win big was Metal: Hellsinger, taking home the awards for Best Action Game, and Most Wanted PC Game. The game is a rhythm FPS which will judge “your ability to shoot on the beat [to] enhance your gameplay experience. The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more intense the music will become and the more destruction you will cause.” The fact that the game has a soundtrack that includes contributions from such names in the industry as Serj Tankian of System of a Down and Alissa White-Glüz of Arch Enemy, will surely delight fans of music as well as games.

The game also had a live concert at the venue, which was supposedly the largest live concert in the history of the event. The game is set to release next month on September 15th on PS5, Xbox Series S|X and PC.

With this announcement of the winners of Gamescom’s awards, the event has finally ended and gamers can now look forward to the upcoming games in the future.
