Remnant 2 Has Gunned Its Way To Nvidia GeForce Now

On cloud nine.

Story Highlights

  • Remnant 2 is one of the latest releases of 2023, and despite not being a title of AAA status, it’s done no lesser job of making a great name for itself. The sequel to the 2019-released Remnant: From the Ashes has launched to rave reviews, considering its overall high quality.
  • Although the third-person Souls-like shooter is already available on a multitude of systems, such as Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, the developers have outreached even more by making the title land on Nvidia GeForce Now.
  • GeForce Now is one of the most popular cloud gaming subscription services on the planet right now, boasting a catalog of games and direct integration with Steam and Epic Games Store.
  • If you own Remnant 2 on either platform, all you need to do is be a member of GeForce Now, link your account, and start playing.

Remnant 2 has garnered universal acclaim following its release, luring critics, fans, and enthusiasts alike and offering a promising gameplay experience bar none. The game was released on July 25, 2023, with an early access phase commencing on July 21 for those who bought its Ultimate Edition. Although it’s on major current-gen consoles and PC, Remnant 2 is now on the cloud as well via Nvidia GeForce Now

GeForce Now, otherwise abbreviated as NGF, is one of the world’s most popular cloud gaming streaming services, known for its flexible pricing, diverse catalog of playable games, and multiple subscription tiers to accommodate its versatile user base. The major bang for your buck in terms of value proposition, however, resides in the annual payment options, though, so do keep that in mind going forward.

Apparently, Remnant 2 isn’t the only game making the headlines on GeForce Now this week, as the developers have announced a swath of more titles heading to the cloud gaming service. Other entries include Riders Republic, Octopath Traveler, and MotoGP23, among others. That said, one can easily presume which game is the star of the show this time around.

The vast majority of titles on GeForce Now are accessed through a game store, such as Steam or Epic Games. In this manner, the user has to show proof of ownership by linking their accounts, and clarifying that they own a specific game if they’re trying to run it on the service. Only a few titles are built right into the service and can be played without paying anything additional, such as Genshin Impact.

This is what you’ll have to do in the case of Remnant 2 as well. You first have to have it purchased either on Steam or the Epic Games Store. Once that step is dealt with, proceed by signing into GeForce Now, and affiliating the account containing your copy of Remnant 2. That will do the trick for you without breaking a sweat.

In other news, Gunfire Games is going all in on Remnant 2 in terms of giving back to the fans. At first, it was the “Swag Kit” giveaway that comprised a host of goodies for fans of the franchise. Now, however, it’s a full-blown monitor, the Alienware AW2523HF Gaming Monitor, to be exact, that can be won for free. To enter the promotion, head to Remnant 2’s official website and sign up for its newsletter. Simple.

In case you’re a cloud gamer who finds themselves on the go all the time, you might find this week’s entry to be quite the notion of attraction. But before you get started with the playing part first, do verify the system requirements for the title are matching your PC’s hardware. If not, you may need to take care of that part first in order to ensure a smooth gaming experience.

Remnant 2 was released on July 25 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, while skipping last-gen platforms on purpose. The developer, Gunfire Games, has created what is otherwise the best Souls-like of the year, enhancing visual quality and the combat system by a substantial margin as compared to Remnant: From the Ashes.
