Lenovo’s Legion Go Leaked Images Show A Hybrid of The Nintendo Switch And Steam Deck

Thanks to an exclusive cover by Windows Report, we have finally received a good look at the upcoming handheld, the “Legion Go” by Lenovo. The seemingly conventional gaming handheld has a lot going on upon taking a deeper look. For one, it appears to be melding together the designs of numerous well-recognized handhelds making for a seemingly ultimate iteration of a modern handheld. 

According to Windows Report, the Legion Go combines the easy portability of the Nintendo Switch with the smart ergonomics of Valve’s Steam Deck and the ROG Ally. The portability aspect comes from its detachable controllers and a back stand similar to what we received with the Nintendo Switch OLED. It also includes the trackpad from the Steam Deck with the button layout and the larger 8-inch screen of the ROG Ally.

On the back, the device also sports back triggers, air vents, and most peculiarly, a wheel. A look at the top reveals a USB-C port as well as a headphone jack, a micro SD slot, and buttons to adjust the volume. According to Windows Report the bottom sports another USB-C port as well. The detachable controllers also suggest that the device features a touchscreen.

To top it all off the Legion Go also comes with Windows 11 and is powered by AMD’s Phoenix processors, making it a superb gaming machine that could potentially become its own portable gaming PC. Lenovo’s entry into the handheld gaming scene is proving to a be fruitful one as it looks to set itself apart amidst the top competitors in the handheld gaming market.

Currently, the leading brands in the handheld market are Ayaneo, ROG Ally, and Steam Deck. Time will tell whether the Lenovo Legion Go will be mentioned in the same breadth or not, but the future certainly looks bright.
