Baldur’s Gate 3 has bathed in rave reviews right from its early access period, and now even more players have a chance to indulge in the most expansive RPG out there. The title has seemingly become Steam Deck, verified by Valve on the platform. Larian Studios has recently announced the glad tidings to the community, confirming that the entry will be a buttery experience for gamers on the robust handheld.

Valve’s official verification means the game is completely functional on the Steam Deck. All its functionality is accessible using the handheld’s built-in controller. The game will also show Steam Deck controller icons and the in-game interface text is easily readable for games. Moreover, the default graphics configuration performs exceptionally on the Steam Deck hardware, ensuring that there will be no extra optimization issues to deal with.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was already playable on the Steam Deck platform and did not require a lot of tinkering to work. However, there were some issues with crashing and launching the title smoothly. Certain caveats surely hindered the user experience on the platform in the past, but they have massively improved.

However, the gargantuan storage requirement is among the few things players will still have to face head-on. It is almost a miracle in itself for Baldur’s Gate 3 to function so smoothly on the portable gaming PC, and the official Steam Deck verification is yet another mark to ensure a smooth-sailing experience for players.

The turn-based RPG has been a massive triumph for the gaming industry. It features a huge amount of character and class customization, with over 200 hours to undertake a single playthrough.
