Rockstar Games has recently launched the GTA 6 reveal trailer to critical reception. While it has satisfied nearly most of the onlookers, some users are not content with certain parts of the revealed footage. As spotted by Bernoulli in a NeoGAF forum, one gamer even went as far as to threaten to boycott the game if it does not launch on Game Pass. However, many have noted that the post is likely bait to pull attention from the fans.
The post was made on the Facebook group named “Gamers,” which has now gained plenty of traction. The reason for the boycott alludes to the full price of GTA 6, as the user wants to use the Xbox Game Pass service on Xbox instead of paying the complete price. However, other users have more viable reasons for criticism. The user Flatneckies on GTAForums mentioned that the game looks cartoonish and resembles Sims 4.
He dubbed the writing and scenes of the trailer to be silly and claimed that the Red Dead Redemption 2 visuals were better than GTA 6 in its reveal trailer. Some other gamers have also criticized the character model of Jason, saying that he has been degraded since the leaks.
People on X are complaining that Rockstar has nerfed Jason in Grand Theft Auto 6. Reminds me when everyone hated Arthur Morgan and when Red Dead Redemption 2 released everyone loved him pic.twitter.com/dkm2r7C0KW

It is worth noting that the new reveal trailer has stood out as a gargantuan success, being loved by millions upon millions of gamers already. It far outshines the minority of gamers who are unsatisfied with several facets of the game.

On the flip side, the trailer had to be unveiled earlier than the scheduled time because of a leak. It led to devs and some gamers showing disappointment, as many users could not watch together with friends and family. However, the majority has made peace with the dilemma and thoroughly enjoyed the footage. The GTA 6 trailer has already piled over 63 million views and a striking 7.2 million likes despite launching only 14 hours ago.
GTA 6 is confirmed to launch on current-gen PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles sometime in 2025. The devs have not mentioned a day-one PC release yet.
