Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is Ubisoft’s attempt at a fresh new Prince of Persia game with a unique direction, something uniquely different from the series’ previous iterations. So, on the PlayStation 5, you’ve got a 21.495 GB file size, and this I’m presuming is without the usual day-one update. The numbers look smaller on the side of the PlayStation 4, which will apparently host a sub-15 GB file size for The Lost Crown. There’s certainly a comparison here with other side-scrolling Metroidvanias and their sizes, including Hollow Knight, which is somewhere around 6 GB, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Knight which clocks in at 10 GB more or less.
As for the pre-load dates, the original release of the game is scheduled for January 18, 2024, globally, but there are certain early access times as well that are at play here. For starters, those who pre-order The Lost Crown’s Standard Edition will be able to start pre-loading from January 16. Similarly, Deluxe Edition pre-order owners can embark on their adventure even sooner—specifically on January 13, which is even less than 24 hours from now.
