Choices during casting Crucio — This guide covers all the choices while casting Crucio.

Crucio is one of the three powerful Dark Arts that players can obtain in Hogwarts Legacy. The Cruciatus Curse (Crucio) is also known as Torture Curse, which inflicts excruciating pain on the victim. This spell has been passed in the Gaunt Family for generations.

Crucio Choices

As you progress through the main story, you will encounter a quest known as “In The Shadow of The Study” in the quest line of Sebastian Sallow. In this quest, you have to convince Ominis Gaunt to show you the entrance to Slytherin’s Scriptorium. Inside that scriptorium, you will learn Crucio Spell from Sebestian.

Once you have completed the snake puzzles and opened all three doors, they will lead you to a small room where you will be trapped. According to Sebastian, the door of this room can only be opened by casting Crucio. Then you will be presented with choices which are explained below:

The First Choice

“Vey well. I don’t want to learn the Cruciatus Curse.”

If you choose the first choice then Sebastian Sallow will cast the Crucio Spell on you. However, once this spell has been cast on you, then it will reduce your health bar massively, and the door will open. Also, by selecting the first choice, your character will not be able to learn the Crucio Spell.

The Second Choice

“I want to learn the Cruciatus Curse. But you must cast it on me.”

By selecting the second choice, you will be able to learn the Crucio Spell from Sebastian, and after learning it, you allow Sebastian to cast this spell on you. The rest of the outcome of this choice will also be the same. You will lose your health, and the door will be opened, but you get to learn the spell.

The Third Choice

“Teach me the Cruciatus Curse, and I’ll cast it on you.”

The third and last choice will allow you to learn the Cruciatus Curse, but now it is time for revenge. By selecting the third choice, you will cast the Crucio on Sebastian and let him feel the excruciating pain. However, the outcome of this choice is different from the rest as you will not lose your health, and the door will open.
