What Are The Aspects In Diablo 4?

In Diablo 4, you can use an Aspect to enhance a specific ability of your character further. They can be attached to your rare gear items to give them legendary traits and rarity. However, you cannot equip Aspects from the start of the game. Rather, you must complete a dungeon first to get Codex Of Power Aspects.

Once you unlock it, you can equip it with a rare or legendary item, enhancing its effect. Moreover, it is possible that you may find the same but upgraded Aspect in Diablo 4. If that happens, you can equip it for further enhancements. However, the Aspect would be attached to an item already. So, to detach the Aspect from the item, you will need first to destroy the item.

Who Is Occultist?

Apart from unlocking an Aspect in Diablo 4, you will also need assistance in equipping it. For that, you will need to visit an Occultist. Once you reach there, interacting with them will show you a menu. Through it, you can sort and upgrade Aspects. Once you are done, you will be able to preview the new effect and equip it. Furthermore, I have broken down the Aspects into five categories that are:

1. Offense
2. Defense
3. Mobility
4. Utility
5. Resource

What Is Edgemaster’s Aspect?

From the five categories, Edgemaster’s Aspect comes under Offense. It causes skills to increase damage dealt to enemies by up to 20%. The buff you will receive in damage relies on the amount of Primary Resource that you have available. Therefore, if your aim is to reap the benefit of a 20% damage buff, make sure your Primary Resource is at full capacity as well.

Although Edgemaster’s Aspect is available for all classes in Diablo 4, you can equip it only on a limited number of items. I have listed down the items on which you can imprint the Aspect:

• Rings
• Amulets
• Gloves
• One-handed Weapons
• Two-handed Weapons

How To Get

In total, I have explored three methods through which you can get your hands on Edgemaster’s Aspect in Diablo 4. The three methods to get Edgemaster’s Aspect are:

1. If you like Diablo 4’s Dungeons, unlock it in Codex of Power by completing the Oldstones Dungeon.
2. Participate in World events and fight against World bosses.
3. Visit Purveyor of Curiosities to purchase legendary items and have a chance to get the Aspect at random.

The second and third methods are based on luck, and the possibility of getting Edgemaster’s Aspect out of 114 Aspects is very low. Therefore, the best method to get Edgemaster’s Aspect Diablo 4 is by completing the Oldstones Dungeon.

You will find the Dungeon in The Downs at the Scosglen region. So, before you start your quest of getting the Aspect, make sure you are at or above the minimum required level for the Scosglen region. Once you complete the dungeon, Edgemaster’s Aspect will be added to your Codex of Power. 

To conclude, although Edgemaster’s Aspect is available for all classes, it is most useful with the best DPS class in Diablo 4. Ensure you keep your Primary Resource at maximum for a damage buff of up to 20%. Lastly, Diablo 4 has temporarily disabled the Edgemaster’s Aspect, but it will players will get it back in the new patch, hopefully. In the meantime, players can still embark on their journey and collect it from Oldstones Dungeon.
